The book, Ghost, by Jason Reynolds is a story about a boy named Castle, but is called Ghost. Castle has a very rough life because his father is imprisoned and his mother struggles with finances. Castle is a misbehaved kid who struggles in school and makes a track team which motivates him to be good in school. Track played ended up playing a huge role in his life and went through the ups and downs with him. Track taught him respect and discipline which spread throughout his home.
Victor Frankenstein does portray the classic image of a mad scientist as his increased isolation from society caused him to “go mad” in comparison to Henry Clerval, The Creature and Captain Walton. Henry and Victor spent most of their early lives together. They went to the same school and were best friends and as Victor Frankenstein grew older, he found his true passion in scientific study at thirteen. This drove him to study hard yet, his passion increasingly became obsessive. Frankenstein states that he began to spend most of his time studying and learning so that he could become famous for a finding he one day hoped to make.
Zamperini set many various records for his high school track team. He had then received a scholarship for his outstanding achievements in track. Louis dealt with much bullying at his school because he was unable to speak English fluently. In the early 1930’s, Louis Zamperini had started his education, and continued to stay educated until he graduated from the University of Southern California in 1940, where he used his scholarship he received when he set a mile record of 4.21.2 minutes during the championships of a race. Throughout the early years of Zamperini’s life, he had about eight years of education.
Percy Jackson is a 12 year old dyslexic boy, who is studying at Yancy Academy. He is living with his mother Sally Jackson and stepfather Gabe Ugliano or “smelly gabe” he called. He is a troubled dyslexic boy that always got expelled in every school he was enrolled but when he reached 6th grade at Yancy Academy, unnatural things started to happen. Percy and his class went to the museum where Greek and Roman gods and goddesses statues, paintings and other stuff has to be found. And his call to Adventure started when his pre-Algebra Teacher, Mrs. Dodds told Percy to come with her and without knowing it Mrs. Dodds turned to be a fury and attempted to kill Percy but Mr. Brunner threw the pen or the riptide to Percy and when he uncapped the pen it became a sword and he swung the sword to her and then Mrs. Dodds vaporized.
Mike Rose’s “I Just Wanna Be Average” describes his journey through high school on the vocational track after the results of his “tests got confused with those of another student named Rose” (Rose, 1989, p. 2). He spent two years of high school with teachers who smacked and paddled their students in a feeble effort to control them. When Teddy Roosevelt was a young boy, doctors discovered that he had a weak heart, and advised him to get a desk job and not strain himself. So in his early days he spent a lot of time in his family fabulous garden and was also homeschooled due to his asthma and other illnesses. He had a great passion for animal life and nature but in his teens his father encouraged him greatly to start lifting and boxing. When his father died during his second year at Harvard College, Roosevelt channeled his grief into working even harder.
Normal days for Evan included taking anxiety medicine, watching Netflix, and being interrogated by his mother. Evan had graduated high school early by earning as many high school credits as he could, in middle school. However, this caused even more anxiety to be pushed onto him. Since he was only fourteen, he took college courses online to begin the practice of law early. But today was the worst day of the week for Evan.

In the novel “And Still We Rise: The Trials and Triumphs of Twelve Gifted Inner-City Students” written by Miles Corwin demonstrates how Inner City Los Angeles is not just full of gangbangers and drug dealers, but also full of success and diversity.
