Abstract Titanium alloy, Ti-6Al-4V plate was diffusion bonded with AISI 304 stainless steel plate with silver foil as an intermediate layer at various temperatures for different holding period. The appropriate process parameters have been investigated to achieve good quality joints. The microstructures formed in the diffusion region were observed and determined by optical microscopy. The microhardness across and perpendicular to the interface were measured and the strength of the joints were also determined with lap-shear test. X ray diffraction analysis confirms the presence of intermetallic compounds present in interface regions. This paper focuses on the effect of process parameters on hardness, strength and diffusion layer thickness of …show more content…
Bonded surfaces were ground by 1200 grit SiC paper and polished using diamond paste (2 µm) followed by cleaning in ethanol and acetone prior to diffusion bonding. Good bonding was achieved when the temperature used was between 700 to 8000c and holding time between 30 to 90minutes. The pressure was between 1 to 5MPa. Bonding separated when the temperature used was less than 7000c and above 8250c. Successful bonding happened when the holding time was between 30 to 90minutes and bonding was also successful at 120minutes. But de-bonding of coupons happened which was bonded at a holding time of 120minutes during specimen preparation for the conduct of lap shear test. After choosing the factors and levels, Box Behnken design was used to perform experiments as shown in Table 3. The Box-Behnken design is an independent quadratic design in that it does not contain an embedded factorial or fractional factorial design. In this design the treatment combinations are at the midpoints of the edges of the process space and at the center. These designs are rotatable (or near rotatable) and require 3 levels of each factor. The number of experiments conducted is much lesser compared to a central composite
material Specific features Galvanized iron Sheet metal Slabs of galvanised iron are pushed into the rollers and made to pass through them Rollers made up of grey iron is mostly used for rolling process. High amount of load acting on the material which is at its recrystallization point tends to deform and then sheet metal is formed. Grey cast iron is used and it is considerably harder as it has some graphite content in its mixture which makes it hard. material Specific features iron Surface
Repeat steps 1-10 for two more trials. Conclusion: 1. I chose to compare temperature and amount of reactants in my experiments. I chose these because I thought they would reveal the the most drastic time differences. I also chose these factors because I had prior knowledge of them before I even started chemistry.
Situations where access to slwga dll is denied or slwga.dll is not found are common and so are other issues pertaining to faulty download of removewat, Window not genuine, application error on your Windows 7 computer, so the best approach is to download slwga.dll fixer. Title: How to fix slwga.dll missing or not found errors There has not been assigned a security rating to slwga-dll as of yet. The process concerning the file is not considered to be CPU intensive however; it is important to note that executing multiple processes simultaneously might hold an adverse impact on the overall performance of the computer.

Welding is a great job but not many people know what welding is or how it work. According to Thomas net welding is the process of joining metal together with heat welders can work on many kind of structures such as mobile homes, pipes, steel reinforcement and others. Because welding is a relatively easy manufacturing process and provide a great deal of strength (Thomas). To become a welder you need four skills the first skill you need is problem solving because welder must be exceptional problem solver who pay attention to details. They have to spot flaws in materials and designs troubleshoot broken areas and know to fix parts or equipment. The second skill math and science welders constantly use their knowledge of fundamental science and math

Unit 2 discussion Assignment Using one of the referenced website articles discuss how OS creates the illusion of virtualization by virtualizing the CPU. By running one process, then stopping it and running another, and so forth, the OS can promote the illusion that many virtual CPUs exist when in fact there is only one physical CPU (or a few). last week we learn and discussed about one of basic and fundamental concepts and what about of the operating system and in generally how it 's working and it 's own component that related to complete the work as a group like a team. from this perspective, I would use one of the reference website articles that given for this week and introduced to the concepts of operating systems and discuss one of the most fundamental abstraction that the operating system provides to us to use .
The main strength of conducting this experiment is that is shows the behavior exactly as it occurs in the real world.
Also, the indicators that have been used in this are limited in number. By increasing the number of indicators the accuracy of the study can be increased dramatically. When the number of indicators used for analysis is lower not only will a lot of data not get considered but also the accuracy that one requires for the study will not be achieved.
Thus the measurements will repeat for each experiment, where the paper cup’s height from the ground varies in each
Table 1: 2024T351 Specimen Experimental Data The experimental ultimate tensile strength of 65,507.15 Psi is relatively close to the typical tensile strength of 64,000 Psi with 2.35 percent error. The experimental young's modulus of 10,644,380 Psi is close to the standard elastic modulus of 10,600,000 Psi with 0.42 percent error. Using the graphs, the yield stress was found using a 0.2% offset. The yield stress was found to be about 50,000 Psi, far from the standard 42,000 Psi. This resulted in a 19.05 percent error.
