• Dignity is the foundation of human ethics and morality. It is a very deep concept but basically it refers to a state or nature of deserving honor, respect and basic rights.
• The idea of dignity looms large in the postwar landscape of public ethics. The Human Dignity originates from God, it explicates that every living being is created by God and posses a unique identity and this identity should be guarded, respected and honored irrespective of shape, size, color, gender or religion.
• Human dignity is inalienable, that implies it is a fundamental piece of each human being that can never be isolated from other basic parts of the human individual. The idea of dignity also has a very rich historical and philosophical edge to it.
• An individual should never have their dignity compromised. Dignity is a basic right which makes a person comprehend their self worth. It augments the idea that every human being has a personal worth that should be valued and respected.

As dignity is not choice, it’s a right. As a whole, women are always considered to be inferior then men. But giving her the same dignity as a man is the foundation of our modern moral society. Women in no way are weaker, they are as strong and self-willed than their male counterparts so disrespecting or harassing a woman brings a stain on her dignity and society as a whole.
