Physical therapist can also be called (PTs). They work to help injured people improve in restoring mobility, improve movement, and reduce pain. In many cases physical therapy can work better than expensive surgery and often reduce the need for long-term use of prescription medications. Physical therapists can teach patients how to prevent or manage their condition so that they will achieve long-term health benefits. Kinesiology is the study of body movement and physical therapy lies in a career that relates to aiding many people with injuries, diseases, or deformity. Rather than using drugs or surgery, physical methods such as massages, heat treatments, or exercise can rehabilitate the people to become the best they could ever be. Having the ability to help people physically and mentally has influenced my choice to enter the field of sport medicine. The soul purpose of a physical therapist is to help people gain their ability to move, decrease the amount of pain, and to be able to have complete function of their body.
Concerns over palliative withdrawal of ventilator support in patients causing undue suffering have been discussed in the literature. Certainly, terminal withdrawal of support should be treated with the same aggressive measures that we use to treat those patients that are better able to communicate their symptoms. High quality evidence does not exist to describe the best methods for which palliative ventilator withdrawal should be performed under. That being said, withdrawal of ventilator support will continue and it is our responsibility to perform such procedures informed with the best available
I learned a lot about the anatomy and functions of the knee, as well as other weak points and imbalances within my own physique. As a physical therapist, one is expected to not only diagnose and treat physical problems, but also to design plans that patients can implement themselves to further promote wellness in any area. In addition, the therapist is expected to listen to the patient at all times and tailor his program to his specific needs. Finally, one must physically be there with the patient for anywhere from thirty minutes to an hour.
Amputation and Disturbed Body Image Disturbed body image is defined as confusion and/or dissatisfaction in the mental picture of one’s physical self (Doenges, Moorhouse, Murr, 2014). One cause of a disturbance in body image is amputation of a body part. Amputation is a life altering event for patients, which may leave them frustrated and unable to cope. The purpose of this paper is to prove that having some form of support system promotes self-acceptance, in patients with an amputated body part.

The occupational therapy is convenient, and though it takes a lot of time, it is very effective once the results begin to step out. Although occupational therapy is not a complete and definite method of curing pain and does not help a patient get over it, it is still important in helping a person learn and adapt to the normal ways of life and return to their former lifestyle. There are being made efforts on academic and practitioner levels to increase the availability of occupational therapists for people who are facing disorders and making occupational therapy more effective. In addition to that, there is a need for increased education in the public regarding chronic pains and their rehabilitation through occupational therapies. Doing this would generate interest of people to become professionals at providing this service (Web MD,

The majority of patients receiving palliative care have some level of moderate to severe pain that needs to be addressed in order for comfort to be achieved.
