The product placement in the Dirty Grandpa movie was, in my opinion, used in a very effective way. The products were displayed in a subtle manner that the movie does not feel like a two-hour commercial.
A few of the product used were the Diplomaticos Cigars, Taylor Made Golf Balls, and Bud Light Beer. The Diplomaticos, the brand of cigars that is part of an important scene. It was bases of the interaction between Robert De Niro and Aubrey Plaza characters. The scene shows De Niro’s pulling one out to smoke and she quickly recognizing the brand, which impresses him. She then grabs the cigar from him, lighting it up and putting it in her mouth in a seductive manner. The partnership between the brand and the movie aids Diplomaticos to reach an audience that they would not normally be exposed to the knowledge of cigars and in a way as the scene is one of the most

The ball was focused on just enough that audiences could distinguish it and see the brand. The use of Bud Light beer. According to the video, “#BestBuds” (Anomaly 2014) and the logo of Budweiser are the only text that is included in the commercial. The text informs the audience of who the Clydesdales belong to and what the commercial is for. Simple text is effective because instead of blowing logos everywhere, Budweiser keeps it simple and sweet causing a sense of surprise and admiration. The large expanse of emotions felt by the audience ties together to the overall effect of heart-stopping cuteness leads to purchase of Budweiser

This adds to the style of the advertisement; this whole commercial has a dramatic feeling to it. Styles in advertisements can be anything from humorous to scientific. They provide creative direction and can be very effective if executed well (Pack, 2017). Not many words are spoken throughout the Budweiser advertisement; they do not need to be. The song “Stand by You” is played at the right pace throughout the commercial and gradually gets more cheerful towards the end once the cans of water are shipped off.

Bad Day at Black Rock Kathryn Abbott October 29 2015 DRAMA 3030 The unexpected arrival of a stranger to a small, Midwestern town creates a feeling of scepticism and suspicion, and through this the explicit meaning is revealed: Fear of the unknown and the moral and physical deterioration of a town left to its own devices. The film exemplifies these concepts through the use of mise-en-scène, and vivid cinematographic elements. The blood red coloured train stands out against a muted background.
Although they are seemingly trustworthy, for a commercial of this magnitude it is important to reassure your audience that you are a source that they can believe in. To establish ethos in this commercial, Budweiser shows that they understand the dangers and effects of alcohol. Now that ethos has been established, Budweiser furthers their credibility by having their logo, one that they promote as being based on American tradition, spread throughout the commercial. This helps to show people that the commercial isn’t coming from people who don’t understand the product and the people they are trying to

Connecting Budweiser to best “Buds” it helps the viewers to remember the commercial and who it was for. Showing how happy people can be with a “bud” in their hand.
