Air pollution, which is the emission of dangerous chemicals into the atmosphere, is one of the most common types of pollution. It is a result of economic development because that is when things like industries, vehicles are so on that emit these chemicals become more in quantity. The most common source of air pollution is through transportation because having a vehicle is essential to the modern society. India is a society where the economic development is on the rise and therefore air pollution is on the rise too. Due to air pollution, India has become a country that has an increasing number of health issues that affects not just humans but also other living organisms but the country has also recognized that they have a problem and are implementing ways to fix air pollution. According to Debaje, Kakade & Johnson (2010), a study was done on the effects of surface ozone on plants in a place in India called “Ahmednagar”. The study showed that the pollutant is more effective in places that are hot and humid such as India, which put the country at a disadvantage. And because of this disadvantage, surface ozone has a negative effect on the growth of winter wheat and summer growth. Air pollution does not just affect the health of people but also the economy because when people get ill due to exposure to these pollutants, they would need to seek medical treatment.
