Being an effective teacher means to be able to create a positive atmosphere for students to grow both intellectually and socially. To be an effective teacher, one must be able to communicate positively with his/her students in a manner that the student will understand concepts for efficiently. Teachers must be prepared and enthusiastic, and they must have a good knowledge of the subject. An effective teacher is one who is able to spark the students’ interest in learning. They create students who want to learn, who are able to develop and express their own opinions, and who are able to succeed in his/her society.
Parents trust their children to be taught and educated at school, to be hoped that they will become good and qualified human beings. A teacher takes an important role in motivating the students to get their success in their life. A teacher could bring positive or negative energy to the students that someday will bring him to become a teacher to follow or to avoid by the students. The teachers also play an important role in
I think that when teachers are passionate and enthusiastic about what they are teaching, it will engage, inspire, and empower students. I think that student-centered environments and real-world opportunities are very important to maximize learning. Student-centered for me, means that students are engaged in dialogue. They are learning from each other with a guided discussion from the teacher. Real-world opportunities provide students with examples that they will see in their daily life, which is an important part of growing up.
Unparalleled Profession of Teaching “A good teacher can inspire hope ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning.” (Brad Henry Quote) The basic role of a teacher is to help students gain knowledge, skills, and values. Ultimately, teaching affects every profession in our country. Teachers help to build our nation through the knowledge and opportunities they give to children, who then continue their education in order to pursue the career of their choice. It is an exciting field because teaching children can be like an artist getting ready to create. The teacher is like the artist and the student’s are like the blank canvas and when they both work together, resulting in a great creation.
School and teachers can influence the extent and quality of learning for all students. Teacher’s beliefs, practices and attitudes are important for understanding and improving educational processes. They are closely linked to teachers’ strategies for coping with challenges in their daily professional life. Educators have control over numerous factors that influence motivation, achievement and behaviour of students. They are turning around their approach into a focus on creating positive school climate and responsive classroom as part of holistic quality education based on child rights where there is effective teaching and classroom management, thus enhancing students’ learning experiences.
EI is an emerging science and an important branch of managerial psychology. For many individuals, their teachers are the role models. Teachers who are in possession of these competencies are able to make the experience of teaching and learning more memorable, enjoyable and intellectually stimulating, both for themselves and for the students. Experiencing the right emotions at the right times help in improving the motivation and energy in teachers. By perceiving and regulating emotions teachers can increase workplace engagement, reduce burnout, and maintain their physical and mental health.
Educators … pass on knowledge and values with their words; but their words will have an incisive effect on children and young people if they are accompanied by their witness, their consistent way of life. School can and must be a catalyst, it must be a place of encounter and convergence of the entire educating community, with the sole objective of training and helping to develop mature people who are simple, competent and honest, who know how to love with fidelity, who can live life as a response to God’s call, and their future profession as a service to
One important thing that I learned was that, teachers don’t just need to teach based on the book. As a teacher we also need to teach our students the good attitude in all aspects. We need to build a good person for a better future. Based on my experience students need to feel that they were appreciated and loved by their teachers, as their second parent in school, they are looking for love and concern from their teachers. I can say that teaching students is like planting a tree,
Teachers play a vital role in the society. Their impacts are felt by the lives of all children from different backgrounds, including those children with varying levels of understanding, abilities and those from families that exhibit wide range of cultural and linguistic diversity. Teachers are educators or instructors saddled with the responsibility of educating children by grooming and helping them to discover their talents (Rahman, Nabi, Akhter, Saeed & Ajmal, 2011). According to them, teachers have long-lasting impacts on the lives of students who live to enjoy the knowledge they avail to them. They have good classroom management skills, ensure good student behaviour, effective study and work habit (Tehseen, 2015).
My perspective on teaching is giving a great sense of confidence to students. I believe that the main purpose of education is to motivate and prepare students for their future and as a teacher I hope to be able to influence them and help them understand what education can do for their future. My aim is to transmit knowledge to my students so they can use it in their future career and personal lives. This knowledge taught should allow them to think and act independently. I want them to learn how important is for them to find out who they really are and improve upon themselves.
