Why are there so many teenagers that engaged themselves in pre-marital sex and then will regret the consequences after? Why some teenagers cannot control their hormones and emotions? Is it really true until now that “youth is the hope of our motherland?” The teenagers today are opposing what Dr. Jose Rizal have said and continue to dissatisfy the expectation of our nation to the youth. We are living in a society where teenage pregnancy is very acceptable like there’s nothing new about having a baby in a young age. Teenage pregnancy is among the most alarming issue today. There are so many issues that even government and our religion couldn’t It is true that it has weaknesses but we should also not neglect the positive effect that it can brought to us for the betterment of our country. The main goal of this is to give better understanding for teens the possible outcome of being uneducated. I believe that is it both parents and schools job to teach the children about negative effects of teenage pregnancy. In our family, most especially from my mother side, three of my cousins had their first child when they are at the age of 18 and 19. The reason behind that is, they are not in good terms with their parents, that’s why they tend to rebel and do things that against the will of their parents. Thus, we cannot also blame all the teenager who become parent in a young age because we didn’t know the reason behind it. I believe the parents are the one who will strongly influence their child and school can also a part of their knowledge by providing accurate information in encouraging to be responsible.
