The theme in Our Town by Thornton Wilder is companionship. One example of why I think the theme in Our Town is companionship is when Emily and George first become friends on the balcony and Emily and George are talking and Emily says "in square yards of wallpaper" And George says wallpaper oh I see thanks Emily thanks . This is when they first start to become friends and even more than just friends a strong companionship . Another example of why companionship is theme of Our Town is when Emily says “I think once you found a person you are very fond of i think it is more important than anything.” Saying that she thinks companionship is the most important thing in life which is why I think companionship is the theme in our town.
