I realize that not everything will work out the way I want it to all of the time but that does not mean I have failed. I learned how to not rely on other people and how to get things done when it matters most. The last thing I learned is more effort equals better results. These realizations will all help me as I journey from high school into college and eventually into adulthood. Working toward my goal of opening my own orthopedic doctor’s office, I will be constantly be facing challenges like the ones I am facing right now.
I know both of those careers come in so many opportunities .I will have to narrow down the huge list and look for something that fits me .By fits me I mean something that wouldn 't be too far out of the box . I was never very interested in academics coming up but know i 'm starting to realize the importance that these thing may differ your life . It’s going to be a long road but I know if I put my to the challenge I could conquer this goal . Role models like Famous Dex show that success could come from doing anything just by putting your mind to the test . Everyone is faced with different obstacles throughout their life, but those obstacles, they have strengthened us as we continue with our journey. Just as they did in Beowulf’s life and in mine. I saw Beowulf’s battles at a different perspective than most, instead of thinking that his first victory was easy and the upcoming ones increased in difficulty, I saw it as each one contained struggle, but after he became triumphant in the preceding battle it prepared him and made the following ones bearable. This outlook is very similar to that of my own life, when faced with the choices about my future, including; selecting a suitable college, choosing an accurate career path, and making the right choices for my future. Deciding on the best college
One reason that I want to be in Distinguished Scholars is because it will provide me with challenges greater than other classes might. When I face challenges, I face them head on and do not quit until I have conquered the task. I am ready for the rigor than I understand Distinguished Scholars provides and feel it will be a good fit for me. My brother, a current Distinguished Scholars student, tells me I will have opportunities through this program that will push me through real-life applications with technology. Also, I want to learn upperclassmen and appreciate the value in learning from those who have gone before me.
My experiences in the military have given me plenty of leadership (management) time, but my personality better suits me to be a contract negotiator. A manager makes a final decision which I can do, but I would rather have a person with more experience make that choice. Different actions would be gathered and then presented to management. Listening, taking notes, reading body language (due to college), compromising, and organizing our most recognized personality traits. These traits have made me interested with working through teamwork to get the mission accomplished in the safest and most efficient ways possible.
Don’t wait for others to make you happy or to choose for you. Deciding on a college is tough but the people who I’ll meet or the teachers that are there may be totally unexpected. I make my own choices for everything. I also have to remember that because both have pros and cons, I have to study the facts and pick the best one for me and go all into it. Just keep moving forward ‘cause there isn’t away to go the other direction.
To serve on the most humbling and honorable platform of my country is to become a lawyer that joins the United States military, and use my skills and education to keep this country safe. To serve the men and women who put their lives on the front line to protect United States citizens from foreign and domestic threats. I now dream of becoming a lawyer, because it is a worthwhile and fulfilling challenge that offers numerous paths to victory. I believe the fighter in me will meet the challenge of law school and provide an essential outlook in the veteran’s law clinic. Helping others and being a catalyst of change is important because I believe I have something to offer.
This a scary thought if you really think about it, but taking the right steps, such as college will improve my odds tremendously. Working hard and staying on task may be a struggle at times, I must remember to push forward to achieve my goals and not to give up so easily. Maintaining satisfactory grades will be another must in my case, showing impressive work will only help me in the long run.
The opportunities I see in my everyday life are making sure I put a smile on someone 's face, or letting someone know that they are special . The opportunities I have in my academic life is somewhat limited not mentally or because I don 't believe in myself but for the reason that going to college is expensive. This is why I decided to take the opportunity of going to challenger because in all honesty the cost of going to college would be too expensive for my family. Opportunities that could come across my time in life could be scholarships, internships that can lead to experience in a career. Temptations: One of the things I notice that make my opportunities derail is the loss of motivation and doubt in believing that I can achieve the goals I have set for myself.
However, even though I am sure that college is the right path for me, I am still worried about the transition and if I will be able to support myself, and learn everything that I need to in order to transition from a small town to a larger city. Also, after watching the video in this segment, it really opens your eyes to how fast that information is moving, and how even though you are going to college, things you learn could be out of
