The system eliminates any human intervention making the process accountable. This system will offer an opportunity to automate the tendering process right from tender preparation, advertising, approval and awarding. It accelerates the time-consuming process. The development of the project will be done using Python Django and MySQL database along with Bootstrap 3 support for GUI. Keywords: Tender, Buyer, Vendor, ORM, MVT II. INTRODUCTION E-Tender management system will be a web-application developed using Python Django and MySQL database. The purpose of this application is to automate the tendering process to achieve the optimum quote from amongst a list of interested vendors. This new system will ensure a transparent and non-bias tender distribution. The involved entities in this system are as follows: Buyer - An organization /individual who is registered on the system and will be able to create a new tender. Vendor - An organization/individual register on the system, who can view the created tender and apply for it through his dashboard by specifying a quote. Django MVT…show more content…
The process thus makes use of simple sorting algorithm to choose lowest quoted value amongst available quotations and then considers feedback associated with each vendor. This results in value addition to overall E-tendering system. VIII. FUTURE SCOPE: 1. Future scope of proposed system can be online bidding or online auctioning. 2. Currently vendors are not permitted to view values quoted by other vendors. 3. In future this feature can be added in order to promote healthy competition amongst the vendors which will benefit the buyers who raised the tenders. 4. Vendors can then change the quoted value in order to increase their probability of winning the tender. 5. Feedback can be made more interactive and effective.
