The strongest one is that guns can be used for self-defense in order to protect the rights of citizens. Adversely, controlling guns stricter does not against the right of citizens to defend themselves, but hopes that the way of self-defense could be variable and do not always rely on guns. More importantly, the stricter control over the guns could make many citizens obtain the senses of security and lead them a comfortable life. The gun should be controlled stricter in order to leading all the citizens a better
More gun control is not the answer! Carrying a concealed firearm reduces crime and there are plenty of studies to back this up. Moreover, acquiring a concealed carry permit may inform you about laws you may not have known about, and could make you more mindful in the future. Lastly, it is our constitutional right to bear arms and we should be able to exercise our rights without reconciling.
Guns are undoubtedly dangerous yet, unlike most dangerous items they are far more controversial to talk about. There are two extreme positions on this topic that many can fall into when talking about firearms. Some want to ban guns completely, while the other side feels like guns are a right granted by our constitution and do not need regulation but instead, educate gun owners on the proper usage of a firearm. There are some flaws in both arguments. The problem with banning guns is that we should protect ourselves if the need arises.
I’m against gun control because I like shooting guns. I wish gun owners weren 't limited to their selection. Because there is a law called 2nd amendment that says that you have the right to bear arms. There are a lot of people that live in america and are scared of guns and don 't like it, I think part of the reason is because the image people bring to when thought of guns, protection and hunting should be the only reason why a gun should be fired. In the United States of America, there is something called second amendment , it gives you the right to own a gun and protect and arm yourself if things went south they would have a chance.
Many people stress that they feel safer when carrying a gun or hiding it in the house. One of the reasons why they expect to own it is just to protect themselves from attacks or other accidents. If an accident happens, they can protect themselves and their property when they own a perfect self-defense tool. Though their thought is understandable and common, it gives the opportunities for the bad people to crime, which has caused severe damage to the society. Actually, from the whole perspective, gun brings more harm rather than more protection.
Some do not feel comfortable with the government's leniency on handgun ownership. An example of this is Agusto, an Irvington resident, who feels he needs a gun for self defense. According to a publication on gun control, Agusto is recorded as stating, “Either I'm going to kill them or they're going to kill me,... I didn't like doing that. I didn't have any choice.”
You would think that a weapon as deadly as an AR-15 would not be so easily obtainable by average US Americans but here we are, letting people with a history of domestic violence get ahold of them. When the weapons get into the hands of destructive monsters such as Nikolas Cruz and Adam Lanza, they hold responsibility for the actions that they choose to commit, even if it puts the people around them that risk. The correlation
This is a persuasive essay on the subject of gun control and whether citizens should be able to carry guns in public. It is discussed that guns should be permitted because previous incidents where people did not have protection against other members of society led to numerous fatalities. Guns would benefit society on the basis of self defense. It is also discussed of the ways to help regulate gun control such as background checks and other actions that could be taken. The cost of gun violence is soaring and a way to monitor that is to adapt better gun laws for citizens Law enforcement is there to protect us but sometimes things need to be handled instantly and having to wait on them can present a bigger problem.
Although it largely depends upon the specific type, mental illnesses in general can degrade the rationality of a person’s decision-making ability. Since a person diagnosed with a mental illness is unable to properly make cognitive and logical choices, they are more likely to misuse firearms, thus posing a danger to themselves and others. Therefore, we must enact strict regulations that immobilize mentally-ill people from obtaining firearms. Gun regulations may seem repulsive to some people in our country, because for them, guns are the equivalent of freedom and security, and to regulate those firearms may be regarded as an encroachment upon American liberty. However, it is crucial to identify how this fallacy plagues our society; a gun is a gun, it is a weapon designed for the purpose of ending someone’s life.
Most gun owners have guns as protection for themselves and for their families. One of the most prominent arguments for to pro gun ownership side is that guns are protection from a seemingly increasingly violent world. Also “...having guns gives [people] and least a fighting chance in the event of a burglar or home invader manages to get in. ”(safewise.com). The second amendment gives people the right to own and use guns and is “...an undeniable personal freedom guaranteed by the constitution.”(openreader.org).
Guns themselves are not responsible for crime; it is the peoples who are guilty for it and using gun for killing peoples. Guns are the weapon which can be used for self-defense and protecting peoples but never hurting anyone. According to me government should restrict or normalize the use of guns by selling to people, because there are some good peoples who use gun for hunting, shooting practice and competition. As stated by Mytheos Holt, “Guns in the right hands help public safety. Guns in the wrong hands harm public safety”.
Not everybody uses guns to protect themselves, and the people who do sometimes aren 't trained and pull the trigger at the first site of danger. Guns are dangerous and we need to find a way to protect the 2nd amendment, while also making
Gun control is not of one issue, it is of many. To some people gun control is a rights issue, to others it is a crime issue. Yes, a United States citizen may have the right to bear arms under the second amendment of the Constitution, but it does not mean that every United States citizen should have the ability to own a firearm. Those that have taken advantage of the right to bear arms should not be allowed to own a firearm. Within each of these issues there are those who want more gun control legislation and those who want less.
