Does Cell Phones Make Us Less Or More Connected?
We live in the 21 century where technology has basically taken over everything. More and more adults, teenagers, and even children use cell phones one way or another. We are living in a time where cell phones has become a big part of learning in the classroom. 96 percent of students go home and will use technology for studying. But through out school’s only 26 percent are even encouraged to use cell phones during the school day, but as a high school student you do find ways to be able to use technology during the school day. Rubinkam’s Texting in Class is Rampant explains how most highschool and college students use their phones during class and lectures. Rubinkam reports that , “The anonymous survey of 269 Wilkes students found that nine in 10 admit to sending text messages during class-and nearly half say it's easy to do so undetected. Even more troubling, 10 percent say that they have sent or received texts during exams and 3 percent admit to using their phones to cheat.” Rubinkam uses logos to show how many students use their phones during class. Teachers should not allow students to use them in class or in the hallways. It can cause many problems such as distraction, a lower in face to face conversation, and cyberbullying. Amongst schools throughout the nation, the cell phone policy has been tested and altered to fit the restrictions on their use by students. The different advancements in technology have influenced many teachers and staff to allow leniency to cell phone use in the classroom, with the belief that they have purpose to assist in everyday learning. Others believe they have no place being on school property during school hours since loss, theft, or damage is possible. In addition, cellphones can be a distraction in classrooms which factors in faculty deciding what is to be done about cellular devices on the campus. The use of cell phones should not be in schools because of the amount of distraction it poses on kids, cheating that becomes easier in classrooms because of them, and the safety concerns it raises.
Of course, the teacher does not have total control over each student, there are means by which an instructor can yield the results she/he is looking for. Once technology comes available it is important to learn and know the proper use of it. Children should be educated more to use it in positive way. Students are distracted by their phones when they are at school. As the teachers are always against the use of phones in school, students and computers when they are at school. One negative effect that students have at school is their lack of studies and grades.

Teens have their minds tricked into thinking they can’t live without their cell phones and social media. Teens need to be able to talk to and connect with others and learn face-to-face communication skills. Nowadays teens can get harmed very easily, and teens do not really know who is on the other side of the screen. Studies have shown that phones can ruin lives with the blink of an eye.
Introduction; We life in the world where every day technology is developing more and more. There are many different types of phone and apps. Most of people especially teens use them every day. For example, British 12-15-year-olds teenagers send an average of 200 messages a week (R.Bertrand,2012). It’s clear that teenagers love their phones.

It also explains that “ Wireless devices should not be visible and are not to be activated during school hours. However, for safety reasons, students may possess wireless devices before and/or after-school activities”. Some people of the opposing view believe that cell phones are not vital to students ' learning, they either think that it’ll cause more learning problems or that it 's taking us away from our learning.
Do cell phones in class actually have such a huge impact on learning as educators say they do? Is it really relevant to ban cell phones at school? Do we really have to ban something which was already part of the school system? A simple answer to all of those questions is no. Although some schools don’t think cell phone usage should be allowed in a classroom.
