Without doubt, knowledge is a source of meaning in our personal lives. Language development in infants and children is an example from Human Sciences that illustrates this point. After children learn the meaning of new words, they apply them to everyday situations thanks to their memory, which helps them to store the meanings of words. Personally, I experienced a similar situation when I lived in Iran and had the opportunity to take Farsi classes at school. This experience was especially helpful to me as it enabled me to overcome the language barrier that I had encountered in the beginning of my stay in Iran. Although I did not study Farsi long enough to become fluent in it, I was able to learn the meaning of enough words to understand what people were talking about.
