William, It is sad to see such a thing happen to a young little girl. I think people believe sexting does not hurt someone because he or she is not causing physical harm to the other person. However, sexting cause severe psychological harm to the victim, especially if it happen to young adults. I considered sexting as a mental illness since the abusers is not in their right mind distributing sensitive images and being a naïve, immature bully. On the other hand the victim will suffer from mental anguish of embarrassment, depression, shame, and possibly guilt letting the other person take the pictures.
