In the end, Pinckney was a hero. He definitely died knowing that he had done something for his country, and hopefully was happy as it all ended. Pinckney was a very admirable man. He was successful, decent looking, a strong speaker, wealthy and a great leader. Without him, the United States might not be like it is today!
Primarily, Victor Frankenstein’s home life had a formative influence in his early life since it molded him into who he became as an adult. Victor was born into a very wealthy and distinguished family, who did not let their social status and wealth define who they were in society. His family remained generous and noble. By being the affectionate people they were, Victor’s parents raised him as their plaything which left him with a large amount of confidence, and the belief that greatness is part of his destiny. This makes Victor unusually determined and ambitious (his ambition becomes great and he crosses the boundary of mankind and experimenting).
A book that I believe has helped me grow as a student and person, while also preparing me for the future is Brian Grazer’s autobiography, A Curious Mind: The Secret to a Bigger Life. Brian Grazer is one of the world’s most successful film and television producers and, in his autobiography, he talks about the secret to his success: curiosity and, more importantly, how to use it. Throughout the book, he demonstrates how he has used curiosity to help propel him through his career. His lesson is clear, ask a question and find the reason for the answers. By doing this, individuals learn about a subject in greater depth.
Bernie Ebbers, the former chief executive officer of WorldCom, was a Charismatic leader according to the characteristics he has demonstrated in his leadership such as strong vision to grow the company into a worldwide telecommunication giant, willingness to take personal risks to achieve that vision and displayed extraordinary behaviors like relentless cost cutting tales (Robbins & Judge, 2015). Ebbers’s being named as “one of Network World’s 25 most powerful people in the telecommunications industry”, the key staff members description of him as a charismatic leader who inspired extraordinary levels of personal loyalty and high employee performance and Murray Waldron, one of Ebbers’s original partners, description of him as “the most focused leader I’d ever seen.” are indicative of his leadership. According to the case, Ebbers violated laws and ethical boundaries to inflate stock price by filing false financial statements, involved in security frauds, accused of falsifying six regulatory filings, offered $80,000 to $300,000 loans to as many as 50 top executives not put in writing.

When compared to the exorbitant rate that Mansa Musa gave the tradesmen of Cairo it clearly indicates his massive wealth and provides testimony to the fact that he was indeed the richest man in history. Moreover, the actual rate may have been even higher as the book, Medieval West Africa, says that Mansa Musa “paid them back amply” (p.61). Many may say that Mansa Musa was wrong to give such a high rate, however, we clearly see the benefits of it from the accounts in the book given about him. Those who cam into contact with Mansa Musa praise him highly and that praise, prestige, and wealth would have been extended to his people and kingdom as well. Therefore, the kingdom of Mali would become better known around the world and start to appear on more maps.

In the twenties, like in Gatsby, wealth was measured in the most lavish of parties you could throw. You can compare that to today's measure of wealth which could be the car you drive or even the rank on Forbes Billionaire List. The novel exemplifies how society wants to see who the rich are, because money is mankind's true desire. Society then and now perceives power and fame as the amount of money you

Aristotle stated in “On Tragedy” that “He must be one who is highly renowned and prosperous.”.In “Things Fall Apart” Achebe gives background information on Okonkwo saying “He was a wealthy farmer and had two barns full of yams, and had just married his third wife.” (5).
