Starbucks will not be liable for a free cup of coffee that spilled on Matthew Kohr. Therefore the amount Mr. Kohr was seeking $750,000 dollars will not be paid to him. He will not get any money from Starbucks to cover his medical cost, and legal fees. Starbucks does not have to pay anything to Mr. Kohr not even a penny, I believe Starbucks biggest strong point to jurors was that Kohr didn’t go to the emergency room right after the spill he went home to document photos, and then went two hours later to emergency room. Future implications for major franchise’s that serve coffee like Starbucks should have safety accessories that locks the lid.
I met some of the course objectives, but also struggled with some. Writing something for yourself is easy, but when you write something for outside readers to enjoy, it can be more of a challenge to write something that makes sense to the reader with the thoughts that you have. I struggled with this concept while writing the unit 2 paper. This objective was especially

Community success is largely based on the businesses, if the businesses are failing, so is the community. When we apply talent pipelines, companies are able to hire employees for their advanced jobs that currently are scarce. Applying talent pipelines in your community will also stop companies from having to search far for an eligible employee in different states, and stay local. The machine was launched, in secrecy, connected to big corporate names such as Steve Jobs and the claim that it would revolutionize people lives made the media to get carried away without any real ground for niche market. What does the customer know about it? Not much. The company should have shared at least some information before it was officially introduced to the public. For example, they could have distributed the first few hundred machines to athletic groups such as college polo teams or golf teams to try it for free.

The author Simon Sinek is not a Millennial, but does express his opinion in his informal lecture, “Millennials in the Workplace.” Sinek argues that all of the Millennial’s issues stem from bad parenting, technology, impatience, the environment, and their long lasting affect which impact the workplace; the only way to resolve the problem is to have corporate environments take responsibility and train the new employees to their standards. It is reasonable to agree with a majority of Sinek’s argument, but a corporation does not need to overcompensate; it is best to push Millennials to experience the world with the proper tools and skills necessary. Corporate environments are better suited for people
