Dorothy Johnson Vaughan was born on September 20th 1910 and died November 10th 2008 at the age of 98. She worked for National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in Virginia. At the age of seven Dorothy’s parent Leonard and Anne Johnson moved to Morgantown, West Virginia. Dorothy graduated from Beechurst High School in 1925 and in 1929 she later received a Bachelor of Science degree from Willberforce University Greene County, Ohio. Much of Vaughan’s early work focused on flight and the ability of machines to fly since U.S. military strategists believed World War II would be won by the air. "Jane," is a romance fiction story written by Mary Roberts Rinehart. In this story, we come across a female protagonist who displays the characteristics of a typical woman during the War period. This story has been analyzed by different literary critics as they try to describe the different point of views this story can lead one to believing. Jane shows qualities that can lead one to believing that she is hysteric, thus creating the theme of hysteria in relation to the domestic sphere. In contrast to this, Jane eventually breaks off from these norms and goes against the concept of angel in the house.

Bessie Coleman was born in Waxahachie Texas and at the age of 2 two years old her father left the family to go back to indians territory. When Bessie was 12 she went to a missionary baptist church in Texas then she graduated and then went to the Oklahoma colored agriculture. In 1915 Bessie was 23 years old and she moved to Chicago to work with her brothers as a manicurist.

The Adaminstrain used the orders put in place by President Reagan but also appointing a special commission to review existing and new regulations. The commission was able to not only rejected some rules but it also repealed some. When President Bill Clinton continued with even more efforts to put regulations on the agency during his two terms. Exclusive Order 12866, replaced the initials order put in place by President Reagan. President Clinton Basically kept the same rules set up by President Regan but added the provisions that the agency write the regulations in an easier, simpler version.

John Swigert, Jr was born on August 30, 1931 in Denver, Colorado and died at the age of 51, Devember 27, 1982, do to a malignant tumor in his nasal passage, yet the actual cause of death was respiratory failure. Walking around Nashville, you’re never in short supply of “the next big thing.” Country music has gone from smokey bar rooms, to some of the biggest musical stages and venues imaginable. Harriet Jacobs, or Linda Brent as she liked to be called, was born into slavery in North Carolina in 1813. She grew up really happy, unaware of her status of being a slave. When she was 6 years old, her mother died and since then she learnt of her status of being a slave (Jacobs, 9). She had a very hardworking father who was also a slave and a younger brother called William, whom she loved so much. Her maternal grandmother helped to raise her and William.
In the writing by Edna A. Viruell-Fuentes, she looks at the effects of an individual’s generation on the feeling of “otherness”. While interviewing first and second generation Mexicans there was a big difference in their personal feeling of acceptance in the U.S. population. “Even though the first generation did not report “ othering” experiences as often as the second generation, their narratives pointed to an understanding of the racial dynamics in the U.S.” (Viruell-Fuentes, pg. 1527) As explained in the writing, and from my understanding, the first generation of Mexican Americans immigrated to the U.S. expecting a change from their previous life. Because different way of living were expected, the “othering” experienced was in a way an expected experience for new inhabitants.
