It’s the career I’m thinking about going to school to do. Crime Scene Investigation is a career for me since it brings my interests in forensic science and police work. My desire is to develop in any skills necessary to be successful in this field of work; plus, it would provide a steady income in the distant future. Specialized CSIs will find a small clue that could lead them to a suspect.
I was already in law-enforcement as a Baltimore City Police Officer, so I decided to get a degree in criminal justice to help my career as an officer. Furthermore, I became a part-time criminal justice professor in the year 1999, then made full-time 5 years ago; and later became the criminal justice department chair. In addition, my strength is that I can relate to students with the same measure try to get the best out of them. Nonetheless, my weakness at first was coming from a policing job with a uniform into joining civilians as a professor. Also, trying to get things done in the cultural educational environment.
The Jewish Teen Board provides an opportunity for me to give to the community, to learn more about the causes I am passionate about (especially environmental stewardship, feminism and helping those with special needs), and to meet other teens with similar values. When I graduate university, I want a career that is not just a source of income but also is meaningful to me. I discovered by joining my school 's DECA team that I really enjoy learning about business and marketing, and may wish to open a business one day. If I do so, I would want to either start a business affiliated with a non-profit organization. After years of working in retail for years after high school with the pressure of finding a career after taking a look at myself, I knew my greatest strength that I have that is my compassion for people of walks of life and helping them any way I can. Having compassion for those that are needed to help in dire situations gives me happiness, not just for myself but satisfaction for society.
I realized my love for law when I watched those shows and went on my job shadow. I knew I wanted to be a crime scene investigator/officer and could see myself doing the job in the future. I am investigating a probation officer 's because it is a field choice in which you provide support and guidance to help legal offenders, both juveniles and adults, readjust to society but helping them identify and solve their problems. I have always been interested in law enforcement and a career I always kept in mind was a probation officer because I love kids and I love helping families. I also want to be that role model for those who don 't have that and i want to be the support and example for those who do not have that at home. The school requirements to be a probation officer is to be a four year college graduate and majored in one of the social sciences: corrections, criminal justice, psychology, sociology, or public administration. Probation officers are required to have a valid state driver’s license, no criminal record, and must pass both a background check and a polygraph test.
I would like to obtain a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice so that I can become a Corrections Counselor. I chose the criminal justice field so that I can help those within the system gain the skills necessary to turn their lives around and become successful citizens in the community. Inmates who want to get out of the system need encouragement and support without judgment; they just don’t have the tools that they need. Getting my degree will help me to reach my goal, to assist prisoners with the tools that are required to help them work on aggression, anger and communication skills. I really enjoyed reading your post. When I was trying to decided what I wanted to go to school for I also wanted to be a trauma nurse, but I realized that was not my calling. I originally was going to school for radiology but after a semester I changed my major to criminal justice. I wanted a career that would provide excitement and something different everyday, but also allow me to help others. I wish you the best of luck toward either a trauma nurse or anesthetist, they will both take a lot of work to achieve, but in the end will be so rewarding knowing how many people you are
I enrolled in this class to get a better understanding of being a probation officer. My educational goal is to graduate with my associate degree and then transfer to get my bachelor’s degree. My career goal is to help people who are struggling and be able to find solutions to their problems. I want to work with teenagers and help prevent them from going to jail, or prison in the future.
My Ideal Self Who/what do you want to achieve/have, why? In the shorter term (3 years), I want to graduate from HELP University’s Degree of Psychology in first-class honours. I understand claims stating such academic achievement is merely a graduation certificate, without guarantee of work opportunities. However, my aim is not motivated towards work opportunities or anything materialistic; I just want to appreciate and value every learning opportunity. Besides viewing this process as a foundation for future knowledge and abilities, I have been anticipating this stage of gaining deeper and professional knowledge in psychology for a long time.
My goal for after high school is to get into any good university. I want to major in criminal minds and psychology, also get a associate 's degree. I want to become a police officer. I don 't really have a dream school, but I would really be happy if I got accepted to a university like OSU or PSU. After college I would love to be working in the police department and slowly move up to becoming something bigger.
