Life Of Dr. Seuss

An interesting fact about Dr. Seuss is that Seuss wrote Green Eggs and Ham from a dare that his publisher gave to him when he said that Seuss couldn 't write a book by only using 50 words. Seuss is one of the most well known authors for his collection of many children 's books. Some may even say the very best at what he does because of the way Seuss wrote and also his illustrations. All in all Seuss is a great writer that started from literally nothing. In the following paragraphs you will begin to see some of the ups and downs of Dr. Seuss’s amazing career.

In the story it 's a war between the Zooks and the Yooks. The person speaking in the book is a Yook boy talking about when his grandpa took him to the wall between the two sides (Seuss pg 5). But in the story he is speaking to Audrey and also the reader. The reason for there being a war is because the Yooks eat their bread with the butter side up, in contrast the Zooks eat their bread butter side down. Also there is a lot of rhyming in the book. For instance, when it says ,” That’s why, as a youth, I made watching my goal, watching Zooks for the Zook-Watching Border patrol!.”(Seuss pg 8)”. To conclude this was a very good children 's book and many people still know it today. (The Butter Battle Book, 1984)

To conclude, Dr. Seuss’s life and books have been memorable to so many people and children which has inspired other writers in their work. But Seuss was also inspired by his very own parents, which is what made him want to begin writing. From that point on he 's probably been one of the most successful writers ever! Dr Seuss once said, “Only you can control your future”. (“Brainy Quote’)
