Hero’s come in many shapes and sizes and Drake is a very unusually astonishing hero. He was born in Haiti in 1986 and grew up in very rough conditions. He didn’t have any running water and his family struggled from day to day. Every day was hard for Drake and his family, but he didn’t realize anything was wrong because he had not known anything different. At the age of 20 Drake’s father became very sick and he noticed that he was not getting proper treatment, Drake was scared. It was then that he realized that his family did not have the money to properly treat him. Shortly after his father’s diagnosis, Drake was walking in the streets of Haiti looking for ways to make money to help his father, when he noticed something out of the ordinary, …show more content…
He gave his mother the coin but the next day he reached into his pocket and there was a new gold coin. Drake soon began to notice no matter how many times he took it out of his pocket it would always appear the next day. He began to give gold coins to all of his neighbors, who were in need as well. Soon after collecting enough gold coins Drake was finally able to buy his dad a doctor to look at Drake’s father and treat him. The doctor told Drake that there was a 50% chance of his father living through the treatment. Drake knew that if his father didn’t get the procedure done there was no chance of him ever being healthy again. Knowing this Drake told the doctor that he would like to have treatment done on his father. A few days later after the treatment was done his father made a full recovery. Drake made it his mission to help every person in Haiti and provide them with the things that they needed. After a few months of helping out, a man named Meek Mill learned that Drake had a lot of money, so he asked Drake for some money and Drake said he loved to help out but there were people who needed it more than Meek
A hero is a courageous individual who likes to help people and gets satisfaction from doing so. Dave Eggers’ book Zeitoun is about a man named Zeitoun who decides to stay behind in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina,He makes the sacrifice to let his family leave without him which he later on regrets. After much consideration,it is obvious that Zeitoun is a hero. Zeitoun is a hero because he puts his own life before others.
The points emphasized by Patterson provided great context for Dr. Baker’s argument as it draws light to how many middle classed families struggle to find ways to raise money in order to acquire the medicine needed for their
In the words of Christopher Reeves, “A hero is an ordinary individual who finds strength to persevere in spite of overwhelming obstacles”. Heroes are not born, it is someone they become. It is not determined by how they look, but by what what they do, and they come in all shapes and sizes. Heroes are willing to help others by acting quickly, often times just being ordinary people rising above their situation to do extraordinary things, without the expectation of fame and glory. Heroes are always willing to help and act quickly.

Furthermore, the political economy of reggaeton exposes the fuzziness of elite. For instance, many of the extreme censorship reactions taken against reggaeton were partly a response to rumors that its recordings were financed by narco-trafficking. One of these scandals was the case of the famous reggaetonero, Nicky Jam, who used the Lamborghini of a Colombian drug dealer, Victor Alonso Mosquera, for his video Travesuras. The reggaetonero claimed he had no idea whose car was that until the video was shown.
Through their words and actions, whether big or small, these people can show heroism. Unrecognized heroes include people such as a mother, father, grandparent, sibling, teacher, friend, or neighbor. A hero is anyone that makes the right, moral, choice even if they could have found pleasure from the other option. For example, a hero that made a sacrifice for society is Welles Crowther. On September 11, 2001, there was a great tragedy in our nation; a significant terrorist attack took place in New York City where the Twin Towers were struck, causing their collapse and death of thousands.
In a way Dre falls in line with differential opportunity because he joined the gang to do something and progress in life in a way, but at the same time, he didn’t join it to make money, earn wealth, or work towards the American Dream. Dre recognizes his skills and talents and isn’t happy with selling drugs and causing more harm to his community. He specifically asked for help, opportunities, and something to do that is positive. Dre’s story showed me that he isn’t happy living his life the way he is and that he wants to change, but doesn’t have the resources or opportunities. By having more and easier access to job training or internship programs in the inner city, Dre would be able to put his talent and skills to use towards something positive and healthy.
Genuine heroes do not concern themselves with whether or not they are better than anyone else; their intention is only to aid other people. Sometimes we treat people as heroes simply because of their important accomplishments or because they have otherwise elevated themselves above others. However, it is the common people in life who stand out from the crowd only because of their goodness that demonstrate true heroism. Although heroes show moral greatness as they act with integrity and are unwavering even in dire circumstances, they are not always those whom we celebrate as great.
Shame Reaction “Shame” by Dick Gregory, a comedian and social critic, is a short essay on the author’s life growing up as a poor African American youth. Also, the essay shows how money can help fix a situation.
Tupac Shakur’s song has a mirror of Meeks’ up bring. Society becomes insensitive and disregarding when the main issues deal with gang affiliation. Instead of fixing the problem with the factors that deal with gang affiliation society turns their backs on these communities. Brenda did not have any role models in her life, so Brenda did not grow up to her full potential. Meeks grew up in North Carolina where gang affiliation was his only source of social mobility.
Jack stood raised over Zach, ready to bring radiator pipe down onto Zach's head. As Jack winded up to bring the pipe down, Zach stuck his hand up and it hit the radiator pipe. At 17, both of them were evenly matched in strength, but still not superhuman, except for Zach's advantage. There was a large crack and Jack opened his eyes in surprise. The radiator pipe snapped in half as soon as Zach’s hand made contact with the metal pipe.
Heroes in today’s society are people like firefighters, policemen, but they can also be everyday people, who happen to perform extraordinary actions. A contemporary hero is a person who

From the dawn of humanity to the modern age of today, discrete generations of heroes have risen one after another in completely different time periods. Yet despite all the drastic changes throughout history, the definition of a hero has nevertheless managed to be preserved: an individual who exhibits exemplary courage and noble qualities for others to emulate. In the novel 1984, the protagonist, Winston Smith, embodies numerous characteristics that can be argued to be heroic as he pursues the perilous endeavor of undermining the totalitarian state of “The Party”. However, the fact Winston ultimately fails in providing any meaningful resistance to the Party’s dystopian society is what prevents his character from being elevated to the status
This one line is straightforward and stresses the true fact that social lights should be wary of what they are promoting to young kids. Macklemore continues his allusion to Lil Wayne as he states, “Despite how Lil Wayne lives/ It's not conducive to being creative… I was off that same mix.” Although Lil Wayne may think that his creativity arises from being high, Macklemore’s newfound sobriety reveals that drugs are not needed to create good music.
