Recalling the roles learned in Broadcast for New Media, I was prepared to act as Technical Director and even instruct new volunteers how to perform their roles as camera operators. Instructing them on the rule of thirds, broadcasting terminology, and what is expected during production. Lesser Roles In addition to these two main roles, I helped Weston Monitor Grand’s social media accounts and use SEO tactics to increase traffic. In this area, Dr. Reamer’s Survey of New Media gave a lot of peripheral information, but I had not had any hands-on experience. Weston showed me their account managers and explained how he uses the data to make decision about which posts to boost and when.
As a member of the TRiO program at Polk State College in Lakeland, FL, I have been encouraged students to keep with the education in college and help them with their assignments. When I saw a student having troubles with a topic in mathematic or chemistry, I address to the student(s), and I offer them a help or any advice that they could need. Constantly, I was working to improve my communicate skills to give a friendly, clear and professional information of the program or any other topic related to the education system at Polk State College. Usually, I took the initiative to talk with the student(s) about the multiples opportunist and helps that exist in the program, such as personal tutor, support in class with his/her assignments, and a
During the Socratic Seminar, I actively listened to the claims being said and gave my input when I felt I had enough evidence to support an argument that I felt should be put out there. I also had my study guides, the two journals, “Dover Beach” poem and TP-CASTT, Fahrenheit 451 book, “Where Is Our Dover Beach?” article, and a paper with quotes and facts I gathered that related to the two topics. I used these resources throughout the seminar as references and evidence. An example of this was when I gave my claim that fitting into society can seem like a form of happiness but is not. To support this claim, I used the quote from Fahrenheit 451: “‘You took all the pills in your bottle last night.’ ‘Oh, I wouldn’t do that,’ [Mildred] said, surprised.
One Pacific Health Club has a problem with their customer registration and the details about the customer and instructor. This is because they need to register the customer and keep the detail about customer and the instructor by using the logbook; this will make the staff take a long time to find the customer detail about their payment, their class schedule, and their attendance. To solve this problem, I proposed the solution by create some website portal so the customer can register online and claim their member card at One Pacific Health Club. By this way One Pacific Health Club can keep the customer detail and show their payment detail and class schedule. Registration manually can be accidentally switch details and also end up with inconsistency in data entry or in hand written orders.
If I have questions about something, I talk to my professor. As a result, I am using my semantic memory by knowing how to act like a student and how to go about in college. • Professional life- My semantic memory is going to be very important when I have to learn all the different names of my clients. I have to learn their basic information and facts about the cases. Since I may have many different cases, I will really need my semantic memory to not get names, facts, and cases mixed up.
Along with learning different life skills you learn skills that can help you get a job, become professional, and gain work ethic. The Hechinger Report wrote an article about different colleges teaching their students how to dress, talk, and carry themselves while working, during interviews, and at professional dinners/meals. They talked to some of the leaders of the project and this is what they told them, “A good resume and a degree only gets you to the table,” says Matthew Randall, the center’s director. “Professional behaviors are what gets you a job. And what colleges are trying to do is help these students develop the behaviors that employers want.”York teaches a workshop for sophomores called Mastering the Art of Small; Talk two majors, education and sports management, require their students to take it.
White the psychologist is helping him with that process, I will do my research to in order to better assist him with the grieving process. Unfortunately, since I am not in when the psychologist is in the facility doing his rounds with the residents, I left a message with the unit social work to hand to her asking what direction and where we both are, and if we could both be on the same side in order to better help MQ with his
Having the chance to experience this Mock Job Interview open my eyes up to a lot of things. Being a Roanoke Valley Early College these are some of the great opportunities that you will receive. In class we took notes on how to properly do an interview from the day that you will walk in the door until the moment you walk out. We learned the expectations on how to properly groom, dressing, sit in the chair, answering questions with length, grammar, eye contact, firm handshake, making resumes and thank you letters. In my interview something that I would choose to do differently is the flow of my words when asking questions.
I would have done the same to someone at our table if I were to be the principal. He probably picked me for a reason, because I was there to shadow him. When the list was completed, every group was asked to put up their ideas on the wall and share aloud. I put up and shared our ideas. There were some ideas that I think were odd, but I shared them anyway.
One example of this in my personal life was when I had to do a training at work. I had to present some research I did on teaching to a bunch of other teachers. Before I did it, I was trying to talk positively to myself. I was trying to tell myself that I could do it. This is an example of positive self-talk.
It was through my PowerPoints, office hours, and talks with my students that I came to share my experiences with them, and help them settle into college. Furthermore, the Peer Advisor community helped demonstrate our concern for our students through our numerous activities that we planned outside of the classroom. The Peer Advisors organized many outings for our students. This time with them allowed us to connect on a more personal basis, and allow us to talk to them about their college transition. Being a Peer Advisor has been so rewarding in that it has allowed me to care and concern for these students as they settle into their journey at
I happened to have an advantage because my mentor was one of the founders of the program and he was able to guide and show me what was required to excel in this curriculum. Once I finished my thesis, I turned my focus to my classmates so that I could help expedite the review process and help with their research. I knew what the program wanted from us and I shared that information with others. Before I knew it, my email was flooded with thesis drafts and questions. I eventually had to recruit my PI to help.
・Describe what you did. This does not mean that you copy and paste from what you have posted or the assignments you have prepared. You need to describe what you did and how you did it.
