There are many things that I expect from Mr.Walsh’s EN202 class. I feel this because I have been recommended by a few of his past students, that you actually learn in his class. One week in, and I already feel that I am learning more in his class compared to the last few english classes I’ve already taken. Learning english has always been my weakest subject, so I am expecting Mr. Walsh to help me build up my analytical skills and show a positive attitude to all his students including me.
In my first few semesters of college, I have always thought that college was going to be harder than anything I’ve ever done; I was wrong. College felt just as the same as a high school class. When I got into EN101 it didn’t really feel like a college level class; it was mostly explanation and homework after homework. I felt like I had to learn how to write the different kinds of essays myself. After passing EN101, I wanted to find a teacher who would really teach me how to excel and is actually trying to help me have a better education.

In the end, I was recommended Mr.Walsh, where I am expecting him to develop my analytical skills. I have a difficult time analyzing and obtaining information from what I just read. I just don’t know the most effective way to read a paragraph or a chart. Having this skill would help me look at important information and gather them in a different way, such as having better information in my research paper than useless information. For writing, this is a crucial skill to have, so I expect Mr.Walsh to help me build up from what I already

The current grade 11 University English course at St.Elizabeth Catholic High School study four books in the process of the whole semester. Obviously, the English Department has contemplated greatly over the nomination of these four books to educate your students. Although the education of these books is astonishing, I would like to introduce to you a book titled Next Year For Sure by Zoey Leigh Peterson. I believe this book would exceed your expectations, and allow the department to replace one of the four books.
This comes back to me where I would get good grades and I would be able to pass the class but that was it. I did not fully understand the material I just knew what I needed to pass it and be able to be the “good student” that colleges and businesses look for. After looking back on this, I like Rodriguez realized that there might be more to life than just getting grades and making the schools and businesses
The first obstacle that stops college students from obtaining a true education at college is all of their classmates, instructors, and even the admission staff who are perpetually stuck in
So students would now expect their college classes to be enjoyable, to be a good class according to them. These treatments will evaducally lead to uneducated and uncurious students. Edmundson is annoyed by remarks that
When I was a student at Gallaudet University, I found college to be difficult. After five years, I was a junior. I faced many challenges. One challenge was the wrong major. I picked the Graphic Design major that I thought was the 3D Game designer.
Anh T Vo Dr. Oxendine Engl 1301-81057 18 December, 2015 Reflection Before my English 1301 class started, I made a commitment for myself that I would get an A in this class. In order to achieve this goal, I make some short-term goals, try my best, and consider my behavior. All actions and thoughts, which I have made in this course, give me a fresh result as the end of the semester is coming. Being an ambitious student offers me opportunities to keep encourage myself study hard and believe that my effort will be paid off. Before this course started, I bought a required book.
I am currently working for the drug and alcohol service Blenheim CDP, as part of the Insight team, volunteering in a multicultural and busy area of London. I work independently and as a team to support individuals and their families with issues caused by substance misuse. I provide screening, assessments, risk assessments; implementing, monitoring and reviewing SMART care plans. I build therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries with clients to deliver tailor-made packages of care using a strengths-based approach. I create supportive solutions by listening to their needs and looking further than their health requirements, working holistically to assist them with wider issues, such as employment, mental health and housing.
Upon beginning my first class at Walden University, it has been difficult to see myself getting through this 8-week course. Furthering my education has been something I have struggled to accomplish for the last 4 years. I almost decided to give up and continue being just a high school teacher. However, being a senior teacher that motivates my students to go above an beyond to reach their goal has pushed me to work hard and start a new journey. Though it is only the beginning of my journey, I can see graduation.
The workload from school kept getting harder each year, and it got worse during the start of high school. When I first arrived back from my first day of 9th grade I had to annotate a poem written by Shakespeare. As I sat down to do the homework I realized I didn 't know what annotating meant. I asked my parents for help and they didn’t even knew who Shakespeare was. The same routine happened everyday, it 's even happening now as I ask for advice on how to apply for college.
Now, by this point I was excited to take on this class. I had heard horrible things about how the teacher would just cut you from the class if you had too many punctuation errors or that she would force students to knock out an essay in the first half of class. I couldn’t contain my joy when I heard this. Me, a person who lived and breathed reading and writing, would soon get a chance to possibly advance even further. So over the summer, I knocked out the teacher’s readings and came to class the first day ready.
In my future, I hope to continue the skills I have acquired during this English class. I think that they will be very obliging to me, nevertheless of what I am trying to achieve. In this course, I was encountered with deadlines, instructions, and assignments that I could not work around. I found that all of these responsibilities have made me comprehend that I could definitely take the next step forward in life.
Today more and more people are going to college. Most people go to college to build their knowledge and to study a specific field that they want to get a job in some day. College is marketed to most people as a creative place where they will learn everything they need to know to get a job and enter the “real world”. As college students right now, don’t get us wrong we do learn many things but, we have found that in many classes we take, we just focus on getting a good grade or a passing grade. At the end of the semester we walk out of some class barely learning a thing because we retain information just long enough to do good on a test or exam and then forget it all together when the class is done.
I have taken away many useful strategies and information from the College 101 class I took this summer. This course has given me enough information to help me feel confident that I will be successful in the rest of my highschool experience and my future college experience. This course has given me skills that will stay with me for the rest of my life. Learning to study properly, avoid procrastination, and take notes correctly has been something that has already helped me tremendously. It has helped me feel less stressed on a day-to-day basis as well as improving my school work quality.
When college had started I cheered myself on but now it’s gone to me beating myself up. I realize that I’m my own enemy when it comes to college but I also am getting the idea that they want students to fail the course. Math class online is ridiculous to me because if you forget a comma or make a typo on a quiz it marks it wrong even if the answer is right. It’s not just that I have to teach myself everything it’s also that the grading sometimes is not right.
