This particular project is aimed to analyse the business operation of a local chain of retail stores that is mainly involved in selling the food and grocery items. Current planning, order scheduling and delivery system of the organisation under consideration and an appropriate open-source ERP system will be suggested and implemented subsequently. From initial data and reports from the organisation under consideration depicts that the store is facing serious problem regarding the planning of inventory and delivery of the goods. Nevertheless, the choice of any ERP solution for any particular organisation is based on the complexity of business operations and the budget a company can offer for this particular purpose. In addition to this, Garg and Garg (2014) mentioned that the choice of ERP solution is also dependent on the organisational culture as it highly depends upon the adaptability by the human resource of the organisation in which it is implemented. For instance, the research will collect the data about delivery performance and inventory within the organisation under consideration. Therefore, the research requires the ethical practices related to handling and usage of sensitive data of business organisations. In this regard, the research will also require an ethical approval from related authority before practical work. In order to address the ethical considerations, full transparency will be adopted in terms of data analysis and the officials of organisations will be asked for permission to collect and use the data. In order to avoid any discrepancy or immoral use of the data after research, the data will be immediately deleted from all systems after compiling the research study. However, if the organisation would be agree to publish the data, it will be included in the research paper, otherwise, the figures will not be mentioned in the data and the performance results and analysis will be mentioned in the form of a percentage.
