When I first learned that I could potentially become a member of the National Honor Society, I wanted to achieve to become a member. I know this organization does great deeds for the community all around the world; I would definitely take pride to be in the organization that ensures that a difference will be made. I would also like to generate a difference in my generation along with others. National Honor Society always recognizes students that are exemplary in and outside of school. For instance, my GPA is 3.9 as my grades are my top priority in school and that is what colleges will be looking at along with other criteria’s.
The first of my short-term goals is to graduate high school as a participant in the National Honor Society. The National Honor Society is a program high school students apply for and if they are accepted, gain multiple benefits from. Accepted students must have have high GPAs, multiple hours of community service, be considered strong leaders within their community and by their peers, and be of good character. It is my goal to become a member of this program because not only does it help with college applications, but it also challenges me to improve my strengths and weaknesses. More specifically, I’m wanting to it to push me to be more involved in the community resulting in improved leadership skills.
From a young age, I have known and understood the true importance of obtaining a college education and have strived to be the first in my family to attend college. Since then, PSJA ISD has helped me want to further my education after high school by integrating college curriculum into the classroom. The Ivy League Tour is yet another academic opportunity that I can benefit from. By being selected to participate in this Ivy League Tour, I would gain knowledge of the post high school opportunities that lay beyond the Rio Grande Valley, get a better understanding of the college environment, and garner more motivation to make my dream career a reality. Firstly, one of the biggest educational goals I hope to achieve from this tour would be to learn
My plan is to pass my knowledge onto the people I care for to better their quality of life. I chose this career path because I love working with people and positively impacting them. At college I will be earning a degree while learning how to adapt to life changes and bettering myself. After I earn my degree, my second goal is to raise a big happy family. By being financially stable with my own college degree, I will be
I want to attend college to further my education, be a role model to others and to better the life I live today. Furthering my education is important to me, I am always eager to learn something new and implement it within my daily activities. Being the first generation in my family to attend college is an enormous accomplishment to my family and myself. I will be able to show my family that anything is possible with hard work and determination, and I will be able to be that role model to my niece that I never had growing up until I got to High School. I want to be successful in life and let my happiness portray as a way of giving thanks to the ones who guided me along the way my last four years and give back to my community one day.
Through interacting with students working toward a broad range of majors, I may find interests in things I had never thought to study before. In addition to this, I feel as if it is incredibly important to be exposed to opinions other than one’s own in order to learn and grow, and this program could provide the perfect opportunity for this through conversations inside and outside of the classroom. I appreciate the Honors Program’s push for students to have off-campus experiences, such as studying abroad (something I certainly intend on doing my junior year), as I believe these experiences are yet another wonderful opportunity for personal growth that allow students to step out of their comfort zone and develop communication skills that can be used throughout their lives. Additionally, The Honors Program would be a great way to help me prepare for graduate school. Not only would I have the opportunity to challenge myself through upper level classes, which on its own would be of benefit when applying to a graduate program, but by having an Honors Thesis or Honors Project under by belt, I would undoubtedly have an edge over other applicants as this would show the university that I’m prepared for advanced courses and the application of my

College is the path that allows people to take education further and explore depth into their interests. Majority of the people says that college will take you further in life and will enable you to make more money but I think it’s much more than that. College in my opinion introduces you to the real world, widens your perspective on the world and people, and offers opportunities that will allow you to grow. I want to go to college not just to learn but to also experience the vast world. I want to make the people I love see me succeed, I want to find my true self, I want to make lifetime friends that will support me, and I want to succeed in life along with no regrets.

The faculty and students at James Madison High school have given me a deeper view of the world. Going to a ‘good high school’ is really an important goal to set up a successful life. The people and education can help form what kind of person you will be as an adult, how you change your world for the better, whether on personal or global level. But what a good school is can mean many different things depending on what goals are set ahead for the high school years and beyond. I want to be accepted into a private high school, be involved and happy with the community, be pushed to achieve to my limits academically, and enjoy my time learning and experiencing the communities and people around me. My individual talents, interests, and ideas are parts of myself that I want to nurture and share with others.

For this, I need to earn a doctorate degree.
