Types of Biodiversity Conservation
All living things on earth are a fragment for a balance circle of the ecosystem. It comprises all species and genetic variation on earth of which includes homo sapiens as well. Biodiversity in general is good for all forms of organism existing in any environment as it promotes an environment of enhanced in the stability of resources plus a more sustainable equilibrium. Human depends on biodiversity not only for food and shelter but also for relaxation and inspiration. With that being said, it is clear that biodiversity is the foundation for the human health. Unfortunately, human have reach a point the speed of species being driven to extinction is at its critical level. Biodiversity is under serious threat from the pollution, climate change, overexploitation of resources and economic development as a result from human activities. Examples of extinct animals include the West African black rhinoceros, Tecopa pupfish, great auk and the list goes on. Populations of species can be more effectively distributes by the breeding programmes to avoid the shortage of food at certain areas. But, ex-situ conservations have drawbacks like species are exposed to the new genetic diseases via crossbreeding. Animal from the projects also may not have the usual behavior.
