From a firsthand reconstruction perspective, he saw the state and local governments being lenient towards accepting incoming state governments, such as Louisiana, that made little change in the political and economic status of blacks after the abolition of slavery. He also issued the abeyance theory of reconstruction. According to Grosvenor, the North should enforced their laws onto the South where punishing treason would straighten the “rebels” from being destructive to America and if the Confederates states continues to follow their constitution then America wouldn’t bind into one whole nation. Rebels treason because they feel hopeless.
In life some feel the need to prove something to others. That they are better, stronger, or even more intelligent. Whatever the case may be people will go through extreme measures to prove themselves. But who do we really need to prove anything to? Is it our parents?
When I out grew my Shetland pony, my mother and I decided it was time to start looking for a horse for me to continue my riding career on. We had no idea at that time, that horse would be a starving, broke to only the basics, and a recent failure of a pre-purchase veterinarian exam, due to an injury to his fetlock. When we went to meet Hank, who was eventually renamed to Juble, I knew immediately that he was the horse for me, my mom wasn’t as convinced. Much like myself, my mom has a huge heart for animals, especially the ones in harmful environments, which means after minimal begging, she agreed to purchase Juble. This began the long process of helping him put on more weight, helping his swollen fetlock heal, and gaining his trust.
In today’s society, we have former National Football League(NFL) quarterback Collin Kapernick who’s no longer in the NFL because of his protest against racial inequality. However, many people believe he is no longer in the NFL because of his talent. Kapernick led the 49ers to Super Bowl 47. Although they didn’t win, he threw for 302 yards with a touchdown and rushed for 62 yards. Therefore, he didn’t get kicked out of the league because he wasn’t good enough, but for sitting down during the national anthem.

The South was pro-slavery and supported the idea of slavery expanded into western territories, while the North opposed of the idea and was mainly against expanding slavery. Until the 1850s the nation barely balanced the slavery issue.
Chris McCandless was in his early 20’s, he was the kind of that guy that wanted to learn and experience life without all of the material things. He wanted to be independent from his parents and friends so Chris did something that would be insane for most of us humans but to him, it wasn’t. He went into the wild of Alaska for months, in fact, McCandless even thought he could make it out alive at the end of his journey. As a matter of fact, he was known as being a risk taker and enjoyed being out and about in the nature side of the world. Many would believe that Chris McCandless went into the wild to purposely kill himself; however, I myself believe that McCandless did not do it purposely.
SunWise is a program that teaches kids and their caregivers about the risks of ultraviolet radiation and prevention tips to protect them against UV exposure, so that we might be able to prevent skin cancer as it continues to become more and more prevalent. EPA stated that in this year alone, it is expected that there will be 5 million people treated for skin cancer and with this program it is expected that they will prevent 11,000 cases and 50 premature deaths. I absolutely think this would be a good program to implement into our schools. Tanning has become so popular among younger teens, especially in girls, and they don’t understand how bad it really can be for not just their skin, but their health as well. According to WebMD, “The use of the tanning beds before age 35 boosted the risk of melanoma by 75%.”
Noel, a 6-month old golden retriever, arrives on the front porch step of SICSA with a gleefully wagging tail and a heart bursting with love. The argument over whether or not communities should institute no-kill shelters presents itself all over Ohio. Multiple people in Ohio believe that no-kill shelters cause financial stress on the community and prove to be a substantial hassle. However, in reality, no-kill shelters lower the overall costs of animal control with multiple methods.
“The Problem of Evil” is simply the question, why does God allow evil to happen? God is omnipotent, omniscient, all-loving, and rational, therefore why does evil exist? There is either no God or he is not what we think he is, since evil could be prevented by him with no risk. Atheists and anti-theodicist see a problem with the idea that God could prevent evil. They believe that because God is so powerful and perfect, that he would not allow such immoral actions to be done.

The Cask of Amontillado is one of Poe’s short stories which is about two men, Montresor and Fortunato. Fortunato did something to Montresor, the act is unknown, but it angered Montresor badly enough to make him feel the need to seek revenge. The story portrays Montresor’s long, drawn out plan to kill Fortunato. In the story, it is clear that he was set on killing Fortunato, because of his actions and emotions shown toward Fortunato.
The end of a fourteen year journey, Malori had just recently graduated high school. In June 2017 Malori graduated for the second time in her life, first time was preschool and the second is high school. All of her scholarships took in effect to purchase books and paying for part of college. Malori signed with University of Indianapolis to pursue Occupational therapy and business management. She wanted to pursue occupational therapy because of Michelle and Jerri; the two left a huge impact on Malori.
