Earth is facing many ecological problems, which have been present since mankind started using Earth’s resources for leisure rather than former survival needs; Humans have been using resources as means to grow their economy, since the Industrial Revolution, we have started to dump garbage into the seas, cut out entire forests, releasing insane amounts of carbon dioxide into our atmosphere, only recently in the 1960s, Scientists have agreed that we are harming the planet we have, and if we do not stop, there might be some serious consequences, and some are already showing an impact on the world such as the melting of polar caps, overfishing, deforestation, and pollution.

Forest degradation also occurs and weakens forests being almost as dangerous as deforestation; this happens due to many reasons, canopy holes, dry seasons, etc. This leaves forests vulnerable to fire and this eventually leads to deforestation.
Deforestation is the leading contributor to the global climate change according to many scientists, because trees play an important role in the carbon cycle in which they take co2, co2 is the gas that contributes to global warming as it traps incoming radiation from the sun and releases it into the Earth, trees help to literally cool off the Earth by taking this incoming carbon and using it as energy to start photosynthesis.

Loss of species is also an effect of deforestation, as many as 70% of the world animal and plants live in the forest, so losing their habitat to deforestation can easily lead to species extinction. It can also affect local population who rely on the forest for food and resources. Trees and plants also play an important role in the water cycle absorbing water and releasing it as vapor to the atmosphere, trees can help clean polluted water too.
Soil erosion is also a problem associated with deforestation since the soil without trees to adhere to it, erosion occurs and rivers sweep the …show more content…

Home owners can generally back 70%-115% of the cost in 20 years by avoiding electricity bills. Now, a lot of politicians and people connected to or confused by the fossil fuel industry like to contend that solar power is expensive. Well, that is not the case
Technology improvements and policies to promote research, development, and installation of solar have resulted in drops of the cost of solar power, over the past several years. Even without taking important health and safety costs (A Harvard study in 2011 concluded that the total cost of coal is 500 billion .), environmental costs, energy security costs, and other social costs into account, solar is already competing with new electricity from conventional energy options like coal and nuclear
