Among these concepts if not first, comes the concept of economic security, which was still one of the first objectives of governments, communities and individuals alike. Numerous definitions depending on objectives defined that concept, some of them determined it as all means and policies and procedures for protection from imbalances that may affect the national economy and shake its foundations and harmfully affect its citizens. United Nations defined it from the perspective that any individual has the material means to live a stable and saturated life. It also bundles actions and measures taken by the State to ensure the basic needs of its citizens in line with its economic policies and the way of life of these citizens, and creates a stable economic and social environment. The United Nations Development Programme identified the Arabic economic security of any Arab individual by the income security, the availability of basic income of productive work or of formal social security network.
Economic security is a major element of national security, even as borders are less important than ever. No matter how we look at national security, there can be no question of the need to include the economic viability of our nation.
