The decision I made to Edgar Allan Poe’s cause of death was being murdered. This is the right decision because my research and Socratic seminar relate to Poe’s conditions and appearances which support my decision. “Walsh argues that Poe actually made it to Philadelphia, where he was ambushed by Shelton’s three brothers,”(Catherine Townsend). This quote illustrates that Walsh’s brother didn’t want Poe with the reason that they probably didn’t want him to marry their sister since they were going to marry in 10 days as well as it supports Poe’s later conditions and appearances when he was at the hospital.
This is the right decision considering that Edgar Allan Poe’s murderer by Shelton’s brother is supported by a variety of evidence that supports
I think that Edgar Allan Poe died of cooping I think that he was doing things for alcohol and after he was done with whatever he did they had to kill him so he wouldnt tell anyone what he did. Was Poe\\\'s image circulated widely enough that strangers knew Poe by sight more to the point, did Joseph Walker know Poe personally? If Joseph Walker recognized Poe as the writer, but didn't know him personally, then it makes very little sense that Poe would have been forced into Cooping. Why would you use a recognizable figure to commit voter fraud by dressing him up to vote multiple times? Disguises couldn't have been that good back then.
Edgar Allan Poe creates this menacing tone by the repetition and description of his senses. In the killing the narrators explains that the eye of the old man is the reason why he killed him in the first place .The description of the old man’s “eye of a vulture- a pale blue eye, with an film over it. Whatever it fell upon me, my blood ran cold; and so by degrees”(1). The senses of the narrator helps to bring on the mood of menace into the story.
At this point, it is up to the reader to decide which path they want to take, Poe had created evidence for both sides and successfully made the reader decide on their own. Therefore, checking off yet another element towards achieving his expert

Edgar Allan Poe once said “Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary.” On September 28, 1849 Poe arrived in Baltimore but had disappeared and no one knew where he was for a couple of days. He was given money by John R. Thompson before his trip over to Baltimore from Richmond but when he was found sitting outside of Ryan’s Tavern, a saloon that at the time was also a polling place for the elections, he was found by Joseph Walker with no money on him and had seemed to be intoxicated and weak. Due to the fact that Poe was found outside of the saloon/polling center seemingly drunk and delirious, with no money, weak, and strange clothes, “cooping” can be viewed as the most plausible cause for his death.
