Speaking is a very complex action. Effective communication requires the coordination of the thought, the muscle plus the continuing analysis of the background and the nonverbal actions of the listener. And all of this happens in a short amount of time. Sometimes that short amount of time causes pressure to build up. That build-up of pressure is the cause of ineffective communication. These build-up of communication pressure can happen in any place at any time as long as there is communication involved. As a student, I personally can cite that most of these occurrences happen often in school. A more common and specific example is communication pressure in a class recitation. In my perspective, I see recitation as a means not to know but to hone confidence because speaking in front of many people while sharing owned knowledge may require little knowledge and it is mostly reliant on the confidence of the speaker. This is because class recitation is not the only means to learn and in substance it is a process that gives additional information to a professor …show more content…
It varies in every circumstances such as in a debate. In a debate my strengths are: I know how to “read” the person and assume his/her answer, allowing me to find a solution to destroy the logic he/she will present before he/she presents it, also I determine the loopholes to be used against me and I find a loophole against them. My strengths allow me to find the logic of the opposing team against me and I use their own reasoning to contradict their idea. Thus, one can say that my strength is relative to the capacity of the person I am having a debate to. On the other side, my weaknesses are: lack of focus. This is the deadliest of weaknesses in a debate because it deteriorates defensive listening. This allows enemy logic to remain unquestioned thus leading to a losing debate. These are my evaluations in a
My greatest academic strengths include critical thinking, critical reading, creativity, listening skills, and perseverance. I’ve gained these strengths by challenging myself academically. My greatest academic weaknesses include a short attention span, cramming, and not being a good test
No one person is the same as another, we all interact, behave, think and feel differently, and I think this is what amazes me the most. One strength that is substantive to my career that I believe I have, is empathy. I have always had such an efficacious sense of empathy with the people around me.
After knowing what my weaknesses are, I usually try to solve them and improve my skills. For example, I’m not a highly flexible and positive person, so I seek out to individuals who are flexible and positive in their lives and ask for their advice. Another strength that I have is that I usually have a positive outlook of my improvement, because I have seen examples of those who overcome their hardships and become successful in life, so I believe that if I try hard enough, I will be able to overcome my weaknesses. I’m also confident with my listening skills and my ability to focus on others and make them feel heard. I like to start on works and projects early so that if anything comes up, I will still have time to handle it.
What are your two strengths and what is your weakness? My two greatest strengths are my communication and problem solving skills. My greatest weakness has been the difficult I have in declining additional work assignments.
To begin with, my top strength is positivity. According to Rath, “ You are generous with praise, quick to smile, and always on the lookout for the positive in the situation” (Rath p141). I believe it is always important to be positive regardless of how bad a situation is. My job is to motivate others when they become pessimistic of a certain task. This strength is essential in both school and a career as neither a classmate or a co-worker wants to surround him or herself with negativity that makes for a long day.
I have become more determined which is one of my strengths. What I have done to stay more focused is make a list of my priorities that I need to stay on task with. It makes me feel better about myself when I check things off my list. I have been also persistent which is another strength that will help me succeed and will help me become a better
Nevertheless, it is the way that friction is approached that makes a difference. By applying my positive attitude and sense of finding a common ground among coworkers, it will enable me to apply this strength to my daily life. Lastly, the strength of achiever was a lesser theme for me compared to my other top strengths. I sometimes take on too many tasks and want to accomplish many things in order to make me feel good about myself. I am extremely committed to everything I do and influence others to succeed in what they do.

Communication is always crucial for the success and happiness in relationships. However, when done wrong, it usually results in failure. In William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, poor communication causes characters to make bad decisions that lead to the tragic end of Romeo and Juliet. Poor communication between the characters is found by keeping secrets, which prevents the revealing of truth and through assumption in which characters do not try to find the truth. As the play progresses it becomes evident that poor communication has negative impacts on the story causing the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet.
Strengths: As a student one of my strengths is organization. I can say I can keep my school materials and notebooks organized in a way that I and others can comprehend. The reason I can say I am organized is because, I have hardly ever had in the past or present any issues with trying to find homework or assignments because I always kept my materials for each class organized and in a place I could easily find. Another strength I have is social skills. I can believe that I communicate with others well in a group.
