Time and time again, Tita expresses her fatigue and distaste for these arduous chores. At first glance, it may seem as though Mama Elena is a merciless tyrant who only lives to torture Tita. However, Mama Elena assigns these tasks to Tita without any malicious intent, believing that these tasks are meant for the youngest daughter to fulfill, as she is a faithful adherent to family tradition. She expresses her appreciation for Tita in her own unique way, as she is not very fond of or accustomed to expressing her emotions openly. The quality of parenting style is very essential for children’s development. It will deeply and permanently affect children’s behaviors. In fact Haack (2014) suggest that corporal punishment helps to develop children’s moral. Children who come from strict family are more likely to be well mannered. When it comes to being a parent Victor failed in many ways he let his anger, disappointment and lack of control get in the way. Spanking can be effective when a child is not listening to a parent. If a child isn’t following proper rules and disregarding their parents’ statement, then a spanking can enforce a form of respect that the child has to follow (Jasmine, 2015). It can be an awakening to reality as the child could now think of how their actions are deviant. Another, moods of the parents will suffer because the environment is so demanding than before. Some parents are stressed enough to get angry at their disabled child, but because they love their child, instead of getting mad at them, they will put their anger on other people. The romantic relationship of the parent will be affected too as well as their interpersonal relationships.
