AGRARIAN REFORM:
Agrarian reform is best described as Government started or Government supported redistribution of agricultural land or in the broader sense to the country’s overall redirection of agrarian system which includes land reform measures.

Effects of Agrarian Reform indicate about the consequence of reallocation of agricultural resources of a country. Numerous developing nations have got benefit by applying Agrarian Reform. It covers various problems of agriculture like rental fee, cooperatives, tax etc.
The most important resource of agriculture is land so the Agrarian reform mainly focuses on the redistribution of land.

Land reforms succeeded in ideological countries like India and Israel on in socialist countries because of this very reason. Land reforms have not been very successful in countries like because of domination of feudal lords. They neither create equity nor do they create equality. Those landlords get the advantage from Green revolution and make huge cultivation whose land is taken-over; this is the case in Pakistan. The land reforms in these areas will not be so good and they will not go down financially. If against the land confiscated the bonds are paid or the landowner receives a good sum in compensation then they will not lose their political power and economically they will not suffer as well.
On the other hand the land reforms which offer opportunity to undersized growers to gain the advantages of Green Revolution, the profit will spread over to common peasants. As consequence poultry and dairy farming becomes possible, the amount of crops enhances and farms are utilized in a better way. The purchasing power of people gets increased. As a result of this economy as a whole grows. There is a possibility that as a reaction to land reforms the owners could ask the tenants to leave. The farmers had plenty of leisure time before land reforms. The opportunity cost of remaining idle was very low. When they will be the owners after the land reforms they will have to work hard.
