Does diversity has a positive effect on performance on teamwork in companies or groups The concept of Diversity comprises tolerance and respect, it means to understand that every person is unique and to accept the individual’s differences. These dissimilarities can be race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs, or other ideologies. Every employee has a different understanding about what multiplicity is, it is important for managers to define diversity in their organizations as there is no one size fits all solution. It can be also beneficial to involve everyone who has responsibility for diversity when setting goals. It is necessary to manage their expectations because it is very complex and not every business will advance at the same time. Further, it „should measure progress toward specific quantifiable long and short term goals.“ Another important step is to assemble the resources, it is nearly impossible to achieve the company’s goals if there isn 't the right human capital in place. The next step is the talent acquisition, first it is about attracting the best talents from a pool of applicants of diverse background, then the new hires have to become a part of the organizational culture. Training plays also a key role, managers should be educated about diversity and the processes necessary to achieve the company’s goals. „Employees must be given the coaching, mentoring and skills they need“, otherwise the company risks to lose their best talents to a competitor. The established organizational structure helps to attract and retain talent that add competitiveness to the company. People with different nationalities also lead to a larger language skills pool and allows the satisfy the customers needs on an international basis. It also makes it possible for the business to compete on the market and attract more diverse customers. Investing in Diversity management does not only bring higher revenues, it can also avoid discrimination lawsuits. „With demographic shifts, advances in technology and communications, and globalization, diversity is quickly becoming a driver of growth around the world.“ Diversity is not only beneficial for the companies the organizational culture gives the employee a feeling of belonging and the confidence that they can live their individuality and will be accepted if they do so. In my opinion, it is diversity plays a very important role not only for business also in real life, you can profit from other people with different age, other countries or gender, because you can learn everyday something new. Further, it is important to accept the people for who they are otherwise prejudice and stereotypes will be created and this would the first step to discrimination
