Effect of food habits on mental and Physical growth.
The body needs energy in the form of food every day, but the wrong kind of energy can lead to a lot of health problems. A balanced diet includes fruits, vegetables, low-fat or fat-free dairy, whole grains, protein and fats, but it restricts cholesterol, saturated fats, Tran’s fats and sodium. When poor eating habits get out of control, it could cause severe health problems down the road.

Physical and Mental Health
Healthy eating habits shape both, mental and physical fitness. Whatever you take in, change your immune system, bone strength and physical routine, among other functions. It plays a role in the mental health, too -- healthy eating chains cognition, problem solving, memory, alertness, sleep and information processing, according to the Linus Pauling Institute, which also says that high-quality diet is important for good brain development and protection of normal cognitive function.

Disease Prevention
When combined with regular physical activity, a healthy eating habit can help prevent such circumstances as cardiovascular diseases, type-2 diabetes and obesity.
