This article is about “Motivation, Its Types and Its Impact in Language Learning” published by two authors whom is Dr. Tengku Sepora Tengku Mahadi and Sepideh Moghaddas Jafari, PhD Student, International Journal of Business and Social Science, 2012. In this article the author’s purpose is to research the effect of motivation in the context of language. The authors have been continually attempting to find out and discover the connection between learning strategies and the success of language learners.

Several types of motivation were introduced in this article which is integrative, instrumental, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Motivation was identified as an energizer for accomplishing a particular purpose. As stated by Gardner‘s theory, inspiration can refer to a sort of central mental engine or energy-centre that incorporates effort, need or will (cognition) and task-enjoyment (affect). Integrative motivation defines incorporating oneself within a culture to become a part of that society. Gardner and MacIntyre (1993) has refer that this two types of motivations as motivation orientations and ordered that it relies on upon learner's orientation either profession or scholarly related instrumental or socially or culturally related integrative distinctive needs should be satisfied in Foreign Language Teaching (FLT). As stated by Ellis (1994) the best and the perfect motivation is the integrative motivation. He trusts that integrative motivation is more capable and well organized. Intrinsic motivation is the motivation which begun inside an individual while as stated by Rotter (1966)extrinsic motivation there is an expectation of reward from outside and a man is persuaded from an outside source instead of their selves. I would like to use the types of motivation that stated in the article to motivate and encourage my students so that they won’t found any difficulties to improve themselves. To achieve a good or a positive learning outcome the designed encouragements for the classroom plays an important role. Motivation will influence and affect the language learner’s skills learning methods and practices. As a teacher I would like to be as a friend with my students so that they will share their problems and correct their mistakes. As a teacher I would like to promote students alertness, knowledge and as well tries to uphold and preserve their motivation.
