In reality, there are lots of cases that they cannot resist of doing surgeries just like Rodrigo Alves in order to strive for perfection. In 2015, Rodrigo Alves was diagnosed with body dysmorphic disorder, a kind of mental disorder, in which he could not accept any flaws in his face. Another extreme case of the mental addiction in cosmetic surgery- Hang Mioku, who used to be a famous model in South Korea, insisted of undergoing plastic surgery in order to improve her facial features. After being suspicious of having psychological addiction, many surgeons refused to have injection on her face but she did not give up. Instead, she bought silicone from black market and inject it by herself. Soon after the running out of silicone, she directly injected cooking oil on her face.
