Smoking is a huge problematic which has to be faced with education and alternatives for our youth specially. Smoking is finishing with lives all over the world every day and it is something that we do not finish to understand, if we reach a point where all students know about all the risks of smoking combined with important information about how you easily become addicted to nicotine and testimonials that can get to the conscious of them, we are pretty sure that a much bigger part of students will avoid smoking and we will protect their lives and the lives of many other people.
Although in recent studies adolescents seem to show less consumption of cigarettes than adults, data shows that they develop more dependence for nicotine. A small amount of this people could be considered as non-dependent.
Once young people get into tobacco consumption they will be more likely to develop an addiction than people who try at their adulthood.
Recently, the Tecnologico the Monterrey has implemented a new campaign for a campus “free of smoke” . Our main argument is that although the spaces for smoking in the campus have been drastically reduced, the …show more content…

This is a very important and relevant factor of why students are not attending to class. As we know the consequences for not attending to class are very hurtful to the academic life of a student. And in this school the Tecnologico de monterrey the amount of absences is limited by two week of not assistance during the semester and if you exceed this amount of absences you automatically fail the class you exceed the amount your absences.
