Workplace stress can be defined as the harmful physical, mental, and emotional strain responses of the employee in an organisation when the requirements of the job of the employee do not match the capabilities or not enough resource and needs when doing work. In other words, it occur due to a demand that exceed a person’s coping ability. Besides that, workplace stress also defined as a dynamic condition in which an individual is confronted with an opportunity, constraint, or demand related to what he or she desire and for which the outcome is perceive to both uncertain and important when doing job in an organisation. Therefore, many companies today help their employee to avoid stress by provide stress management in company. Stress management is a wide range of approaches to help employee have a better deal with stress and adversity in workplace. There are many ways to help employee to avoid stress by individual or organisation.

Individual find ways to relax. For example, relax by doing yoga or meditation. On the other hand, deep breathing exercises help to clear the mind. Another way that can be taken by the employees is talking to supervisor. Last but not the least, to increase the ability of stress management, a worker should accept help from colleagues and get support by family members and friend who can be trusted. Improvement to an individual dietary habits should be made. For instance decrease the amount of junk food, decrease the consumption of alcohol. Meeting up with the coworkers after work , off site for a drink or dinner helps to develop a connection with the co-workers and assist whenever they require assistance. In result, it may turn to them when you find yourself in a jam. An employees can reduce the workplace stress by getting a life outside the job. For indstance, a hobby a public service project, reading, acquire knowledge and skills in a different job and career path. Although the importance of individual differences cannot be ignored, scientific evidence suggests that certain work conditions are stressful to most people. These evidence argues that work conditions are a key source of workplace stress and job redesign should be used (3). Company should encourage employees to work in a team and bear the works and challenges together. Redesigning workloads as well as creating flexible working time for employees caring for young children, giving public recognition of a job well done or starting a weekly lunchtime barbecue during warm weather.
