For my career I am going with CNA, EKG, and Phlebotomy. The reason I picked these for my career is because I like to help people. Knowing I can make a difference in the world by doing something as simple as helping a patient eat or take their blood for a blood test they need done is amazing knowing you’re the one helping them. Not many people realize how much work a nurse does for a living. We have to make sure that we don’t fall behind on work because it will mess the other nurses up. For CNA you will need to know how to feed a patient and to be able to dress, bath, help in and out of bed, mouth care, and how to properly take care of a bed sore. To be a CNA it takes a minimum of one year of experience, active CNA license, and CPR/BLS license.
My career choice in Optometry will let me touch the lives of each patient and make sure that the result that they get is very rewarding, so then they are able to really benefit from this experience in a great, positive
My top interest at school is The Academy of Health Professions. This rigorous program gives classroom instructions, hands on laboratory, and clinical experience. As a class of 17 students, we volunteer at the local clinical to get experience as Certified Nursing Assistants. Every other class, I take the role of an adult for 2 hours and become a CNA. I provide my patients with oral care, bathing, feeding, and changing linen.
The career I have chosen has to do with criminal justice. Criminal justice is something that 's always seemed to grab my attention. It 's something I feel I was born to be interested in. I really enjoy helping others in any way so I figured why not pursue a career as a probation officer. Not only will I be helping others, but I will be preventing an offender from repeating the same mistake.
I attended nursing school and earned an LPN license, but I was determined to get my BSN. I knew nursing school would not be cheap, so I looked for a job as a patient care tech in a hospital. I knew I wanted to work someday in a hospital. I found a job on a pediatric floor and fell in love with my new job. This floor also has a special hall just for cancer patients.

One of the responsibilities I would have as an medical assistant is answering telephones and dealing with patients. The profession I have chosen to pursue is that of a Physician Assistant. My reason for this selection is because it gives you the independency of a Physician while having somewhat less responsibilities. A Physician Assistant provides healthcare services typically performed by a physician, under the supervision of a physician. Some of these services include but are not limited to examining and treating patients, diagnosing illnesses and counseling patients. In some case physician assistants are also tasked to prescribe medicine to patients.
I believe a job as a certified nurse assistant will give me a better insight while working beside nurses and observe what set of skills nurses use. My strengths that best suit my personality and this program are determination, effort, caring, critical thinker, discipline, and enthusiastic. These qualities would reflect on a nurse and would make caring for the patient easier. I believe that I belong in the nursing field, because ever since I was a child, I always wanted to make a positive influence in people's lives.
The class requires at least eighty hours of time spent in a classroom setting and at least forty hours of clinical time. Clinical time is hands on experience and is performed with real patients in a hospital type setting. When the class time is completed as well as the time spent in clinical, the state’s exam is given. If at that time, the test is passed, the certification is completed. A CNA is the lowest level of nursing and allows a lot of room for advancement.
This has been a great opportunity to determine if nursing is the career for me. At this point I am certain that nursing is for me. A part of my ROP nursing class, I help at a nursing home once a week for four hours. This has given me an insight of the advantages and the disadvantages of nursing. I honestly think that making a person’s life more comfortable outweighs the disadvantages.

The nursing profession to my understanding is one that helps others by using skills that is blended with scientific knowledge, compassion, thoughtfulness and caring, as well as the community. They provide preventative and restorative health care to patients and the community in a variety of settings. The nursing profession requires a person who is self-motivated, compassionate; an individual who will understand a person not only with their biological needs, but also their psycho social and cultural needs as well. For this reason, I believe I have all these skills to be an advanced professional registered Nurse. My main source of inspiration to become a nurse comes from an innate desire to help people and care for them in times of need.
