“When human lives are endangered, when human dignity is in jeopardy, national borders and sensitivities become irrelevant. Wherever men or women are persecuted because of their race, religion, or political views, that place must-at the moment- become the center of the universe,” this was Elie Wiesel’s, nobel prize winner, quote. People have different points of views on other people, to be more specific on people on other races and religion. Some individuals have the mentality that there’s always a superior race. My opinion is that there is equality among every person in the world. The war in Europe began when Germany, under Adolf Hitler, invaded Poland. Britain and France responded by declaring war on Germany but took little action over the following months. Germany …show more content…
The Soviets were the first to reach the German capital of Berlin, and Germany surrendered in May 1945, shortly after the suicide of Adolf Hitler. The war in the Pacific began on December 7, 1941, when warplanes from Japan launched a surprise attack on the U.S. Navy base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. By this time, Japan had already been at war with China for several years and had seized the Chinese territory of Manchuria. After the Pearl Harbor attack, Japan began a massive campaign of expansion throughout the Southeast Asia–Pacific region. the very next day, it would be several months before U.S. forces would get seriously involved militarily. In late spring of 1942, the United States and Japan engaged in a series of naval battles, climaxing in the Battle of Midway on June 3–6, 1942, in which Japan suffered a catastrophic defeat. For the next year, the United States engaged Japan in a protracted struggle for the Solomon Islands, which lay near vital Allied shipping routes. Between August 1942 and February 1943, Allied forces carried out an invasion on the island of Guadalcanal—the beginning of a long series of Allied offensives that would eventually force the
The battle of Midway (1942) was fought between Japan and America during WWII. The Americans, following many defeats delivered by the elite if not legendary Japanese fleet managed to break the Japanese code and score an upset victory at Midway. The battle of Midway destroyed the Japanese Combined fleet. Japan lost Four aircraft carries, that was around half of all carriers Japan had in operation at the time. Also the pilots and aircraft Japan lost was tremendous: 248 aircraft were destroyed.

The battle started on June 4, 1942 and lasted until June 7, 1942 ("Battle of Midway"). The battle changed the whole course of the pacific theater.
The Battle of Midway was a naval battle fought between the U.S and Japan. It was fought between the 4th and 7th of June, 1942, six months after Pearl Harbor. This battle ended all further threats from Japan to the Pacific. It was Japan’s first naval defeat since the 1863 Battle of Shimonoseki Straits. The Battle of Midway was significant because the United States was able to crack Japans code, ambush Japan, and win the first allied victory in the Pacific Wars.
It is September 1st, 1939, and World War II has just begun. This was a very frightening moment for a lot of people with all of the vibration of guns raining, airplanes flying over the dark sky, and the cry of many families. The cause of World War II was the German invasion of Poland on September 1st, 1939. World War II was fought between two groups of countries. One of the sides was the Axis Powers, which included Germany, Italy, and Japan.

The Actors Simon, one of the Pharisees: owner of a house large enough to have a dinner guests recline at a table. It would not be much of a stretch that this Simon had wealth and position in the city. It may reasonable to assume that Simon was a better class of Pharisee who had a certain measure of respect for our Lord’s teaching, and was half-inclined to acknowledge Him as a prophet (Luke 7v39). It would be a stretch to think that this Simon is connected to any other Simon mentioned in the NT. Simon was a very common name in Palestine, and maybe Luke’s way of making the person common with those that share his same contempt for this peculiar authority being taught by Jesus.
The war in Europe started in 1756 with the Diplomatic Revolution, in which Great Britain allied with Prussia against the French Russian Austrian alliance. During this time the first conflict in Europe would occur, when Prussia determined that war was inevitable and invaded Austria’s ally Saxony
The Battle of Midway was fought almost entirely with aircrafts. The battle began on June 3, 1942, when U.S. bombers from Midway Island struck at the Japanese invasion force about 220 miles southwest of the U.S. fleet. The U.S. planes quickly sank three of the heavy Japanese carriers and one heavy cruiser. Analysts often point to Japanese aircraft losses at Midway as eliminating the power of the Imperial Navy’s air arm, but in fact about two-thirds of air crews survived. The Battle of Midway brought the Pacific naval forces of Japan and the United States to approximate parity and marked a turning point of the military struggle between the two
On December 7th, 1941, the Japanese Imperial Navy bombed Pearl Harbor, killing and wounding 65 servicemen. One day later, on December 8th 1941, Franklin Delano Roosevelt signed a declaration of war on the Empire of Japan, launching the United States headfirst into World War II. Since Hitler was rapidly advancing through eastern Europe, he needed to be stopped. The only country that had the power to stop him was the Soviet

Elie Wiesel quote transmits a thousand words on a small expression, however, his words have a huge significant meaning. What he expresses is totally right on the way that is irrelevant how people discriminate each other by factors that shouldn’t be judge. They way how years have past, the same incident happens without coming to an end. Humans are humans and there's isn’t any factor in which one group of race, religion, or ethnicity should make them superior of others. Because god gave all the same rights, we deserve the same a respect and attention from everyone else.
Elie had struggled with his relationship with God frequently throughout the book. In the beginning he practiced Kabbalah but in chapter 5 he doesn’t even want to acknowledge God’s presence. He had a complex relationship with God and he wavered in his beliefs. His relationship with God is important because we see how hardships can change someone's belief and how easy it was for him to put the blame on God. During chapter 5 it was the end of the Jewish year and the prisoners got together and prayed.
When Harry Truman wanted World War 2 to be over when he made the decision to get revenge on Japan when they got the U.S. involved with the war on December 7,1941. Japan attacked the American naval base at Pearl Harbor near Honolulu, Hawaii, upsetting the U.S. and making them strike back. The Japan attack resulted in destroying 20 american naval vessels, 8 battle ships, and 300 planes. 2,000 american soldiers and sailors died and 1,00 were wounded.
The main cause of this gruesome war was when Hitler ( Germany 's power hungry leader) began to invade countries near Europe. Fearing another war europe did nothing until they heard news that Hitler suddenly attacking poland, one of their allies. Even tho hitler claimed it was merely an act of defense europe did not believe it and and declared war. (“Germans invade Poland”)
September 1st, 1939; Hitler and his army invade poland and trigger the second world war. Poland couldn’t defend itself as it’s army wasn’t powerful enough. Hitler's early army wasn’t actually that powerful but poland’s was way worse so defeating them was easy and Hitler thought he had the best army. Because of that he invaded much more countries and even tried Russia.
