Teachers and fellow students will also provide help for students with disabilities; in this way, students with learning disabilities will be motivated to study as they feel that they are a part of a group instead of being isolated in special places. Thus, they will achieve higher grades. Moreover, they will be greatly engaged in the society as they are building bridges with their peers from several backgrounds. On the long run, teachers, parents, and the society as a whole would develop. Students with learning disabilities should be included in the “normal” classroom because it improves their academic performance, social behavior, and communication language.

This positive narration has two types of effects within the classroom. The students receiving the positive narration are more often inclined to continue the habits of getting right to work, the positive feedback establishes to them that they are doing exactly what should be done and it often seems to make a difference for the students. Second the positive narration acts as a catalyst for the students who may have been lagging or delayed in starting their work, as a simple reminder that there is a task at hand that they should be working on. 2. The strength of these philosophies lies in the fact they are all student centered approaches to teaching and learning. I most appreciate the prescriptive nature of the philosophies meaning that they all are attempting to increase learning and decrease behavior issues by establishing roles, routines, and norms of a classroom. I think if I can actively utilize the approaches above, I can create the type of environment that is helpful to both students and still be a place I want to work in. I do not expect that I can do it all the first year, but maybe over time I can bring in more research based applications of classroom management.

It was concluded that the use of gamified activities increased students’ commitment to do the required readings, changed their beliefs about the task value of gamification as an instructional tool in Dr. Ferdinand’s class, increased participation as in Romeo’s testimony, and the opportunity and determination to try multiple times without the fear of failing. However, some types of positive behavior rewarded in class such altruism or punctuality can be verified as a positive change of behavior. This could be researched in independent mixed -method study researching the effect of gamification before and after or in comparison groups. Authentic learning activities or products should be one of the benefits of the successful integration of gamification according to Kapp, Blair & Mesch (2014). They posited that authentic learning activities are the ones, which could be transferred and linked to real-life skills and scenarios.
I love teaching when the learning in classroom is creative and tangible: When I can sense it in the quickening pace of a roundtable or a student’s visible delight in using newly learned jargon; when I can hear the excitement in students’ testimonials about mastering skills that “made a difference” or theories that transformed practices and perspectives.
