Embarkation Day-
Walking up the gangway is like diving into the ocean: you don't know what's lurking ahead of you, but there's always something fun and exciting. Those were my exact thoughts as I boarded the MS Royal Countess to attend South Seas College, hosted by Year at Sea and I waved goodbye to my family, who I wasn't going to see for the next year, except on holidays. "Love you! Have a good flight back home!", I excitedly shout. Today's the day I open a new door for new adventures that await me. Miss Lundquist explained that she recognized the handwriting from the application forms. Oh dear, where can she be? We're on a cruise, so she can't be that far, right? Miss Lundquist made an exception for me, as it was an emergency, to leave my room as long as she accompanied me. We searched all over the ship until we realized the only way to find Mary-Kate was by intercom. I kept telling Miss Lundquist there really was no use to make an announcement, since
