The first thing we did was get our life jackets on. Before we got in the water we did paddle exercises so we could get used to the motions when actually kayaking. Then Stinger; our counselor, helped us get into the kayak and push us out into the water. Mrs. Conway went ahead of us and grabbed a pole which we all hooked together. Then we all released and started to row around Indian Rock. At the end of the class we got to stand up and try to push people off the kayak.
Classes
Our first class when we got there was the squid dissection. I was a little apprehensive before, but I realized it wasn't as bad as I thought. We did a turtle hurdle which was learning about how the garbage that we leave in the ocean can kill turtles. We then played a game as an example of what the turtles go through. Next we did a fish lab which was part of the snorkeling class. The next day we did a bird lab which was learning about the birds on Catalina Island, and a nature hike/ history timeline on Catalina. We also learned about Vertebrates and Invertebrates in two separate classes.

We got into groups of 4 or 5 and one person from each group went into the the creek and got a rock and brought it back to the group. Then we looked at the bottom of the rock and observed the organisms. We classified them into group one, two, or three animals.
Six Flags and the mine train. Near the middle or end of the summer my cousins and I were on facetime playing a game called ‘Growtopia’. We were talking and Ally told me that they were going to Six Flags on Sunday and that she and Abby could each bring a friend.

In “Breathing Underwater.” by Alex Finn. The relationship between Nick and Caitlin was never healthy because of Nick’s aggression towards Caitlin physically, emotionally and selfish, while Caitlin was just being a girlfriend. For some reason Nick's aggression grew when Cailtin wouldn’t listen to him because she had a necklace that her mother gave to her. “I said, take that stupid thing off… I plucked it off and threw it out the window.
A child 's face fills with excitement as they enter a huge building that largely proclaims a sign that says ´SeaWorld. ´ The thrill of seeing animals that they don 't normally see fills the child to the brim. Their elated feelings rise as they walk into the Shamu Stadium, with an announcer welcoming them. They 're so happy that they don 't realize that they 're about to witness inhumane acts for entertainment. Sea World is an inhumane facility, and needs to be shut down.
Three hundred and fifty children under the age of five drown in pools each year nationwide. Two thousand and six hundred children are treated in hospital emergency rooms for near-drowning incidents. These statistics can bring chills down one’s spine. With drowning being such a threat, it is surprising how many guardians of young children dismiss the importance of their child learning how to swim. Survival swim lessons gives infants and toddlers the skills they need to move through the water independently while incorporating being able to breath when needed.
“Legs kicking, arms spinning. As I push off the end of the pool, the water rushes out of my way. I glide through the water straight as a pencil. My legs go up and down, over and over. My arms go round and round like a windmill.
The sound of the whistle jolted me into action. I dove from the block, and a wave of silence crashed over me as I hit the water. For a moment, there was a sense of serenity as I swam under the surface. The spell broke as I rose for air. I could hear everyone yelling and cheering.
The ocean… The sound of the waves applauding and hugging the shore. The internal sounds of the body out in the world’s biggest swimming pool. The echo of my sister’s laughter. The salty smell so strong that one can taste it dancing on ones taste buds.
