Emilie Monologue

Sarah: the victim
Henry: the bully

Snodgrass: Guidance counselor

Time: a school day, 2024
Setting: Alaska Gateway school, were many kids are mistreated and being bullied. It’s a well-rounded school but has some flaws with the techniques that they use to teach students respect.

At rise: Henry, wearing his extravagant cloth and overpriced items, enters the class, squandering his money, followed by Sarah, wearing poor-quality clothes, but with a smile on her face. Which demolishes when she sees Henry.

Henry: (sits on a chair, with confidence that manifests that he is the one with the power and that he is the patriarch).( says with a strong voice.) Hey, you (points at Sarah with disgust). Come

Emilie: (filled with shock and disappointment) Henry what are you doing to Sarah.

Henry: I am showing her who’s boss.

Emilie: (trying to control her voice so she won’t scream) she is a human being, she has feelings and this is going to effect her future life.

Henry: (impatiently) I don’t care about her future life; I care about her being my servant. She is poor and wears ugly clothes, therefore, she should be under my control. Although she disobeyed me, which is disrespectful, for a man with my honor.

Sarah: What man you’re a shell of a man, you have no honor or integrity. (looks at Henry with disgust, afterwards picks Sarah up, and brushes the dirt off of her) Let’s go, Sarah, you deserve to be treated in an exceptional way. (They exit)

Henry: Wait I still didn’t finish punishing her. EGHHHHHHHHHHHH. I am going to get her next time. (Exits)

Snodgrass: (enters, talking to Billy) What just happened between Sarah, Henry, and Emilie.

Billy: Henry was bossing Sarah around, that is why she stood up for what she believed in which was, her being treated equally. Although he didn’t care about what she said, therefore he started beating Sarah up, but them Emilie came along and defended
