What is the definition of a hero to me? I believe that a hero is a person who helps others, motivates others, and contributes to the common good. Those qualities of a hero are the same qualities I found in my hero. My hero is Freddy Vargas who is also a freshman at CSUN. He is my hero because I was having some trouble understanding the material for statistics and he helped me understand it clearly. According to him, “I got here by doing my best earning good grades during my 2 final years in my high school classes and prepping for the SAT.” His definition of a hero is a person who is looked upon by others and being someone’s role model. He chose Eminem as his hero because his dad wasn’t always with him since he worked a lot and his mom was always
A hero, someone modernly seen jumping off buildings, and fighting the bad guy in an epic duel to the death. But what really makes a hero? Is it wanting to save someone just to look good? Maybe something deeper like the willingness to give up part of oneself so that another may have a better life. A hero should be a person who has the right motives for their heroic actions.
Sure, I got time The Websters dictionary defines a hero as someone who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. Heroes are ordinary people who find the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles. They are the real heroes, and so are the families and friends who have stood by them. Maya Angelou stated, “I think a hero is any person really intent on making this world a better place for all people.”
What do you think a hero is? A brave person? Or someone who is willing to risk everything to protect the people they love? What is a hero? A hero is a person who is admired for great or brave acts or fine qualities. There are many people who meet the characteristics of a hero, but Chris McCandless is not one of them. There are many reasons that prove why McCandless does not meet the characteristics of a hero and there is many other people who do meet the criteria of a hero. My idea of a hero is a someone who takes on large tasks and shows great bravery in his/her character.
Everyone is a hero at some point in there life. A hero is kind and helps others with their actions and words. Pony, Dallas, and Johnny are heroes in the book The Outsiders. They all fit my definition of a hero and maybe add a little more meaning that fits their personality. All of us are a hero but only some of us show it.
On January 31, 1919, the remarkable, valiant man that we know as Jackie Robinson was born. He was brave enough to battle through racism and hatred from many individuals to stand up for what he believed was right. Jackie Robinson changed baseball history for both blacks and whites by breaking the color barrier in major league baseball. Even with all the taunting and threats he received along the way of his success, he never quit. A definition of a hero would be someone you can look up to; someone you admire for their hard work and willpower.

The first reason I think Jackie Robinson is a hero because he was the first African American to play baseball.
A hero is anyone who makes the right decision to sacrifice for a person in need. For example, without heroes like firemen, wildfires and house fires would spread across the nation, costing lives and loss of worldly possessions. Firemen stand strong, risk themselves, and protect all for the well-being, safety of others, and personal property. In addition,
