Aaaaaaah! The boisterous screams of pain filled the skies with misery and demise. The young child known as Emmett Till knew that today was his end. Many people suffered of injustice back in that time. The blacks were treated the worst.
The Black Lives Matter movement ¬¬has been inspired by previous movements, such as the Civil Rights movement and the Black Panther Party. One of the first victories for the Civil Rights movement was after Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white bus rider on December 1, 1955. This was illegal at the time; Parks was arrested and this inspired a year-long bus boycott. Also, the planned march from Selma to Montgomery on March 7, 1965 that resulted in police brutality cause public outrage. The Black Panther Party has always had the portrayal of being violent and anti-white, when they were focused on creating positive change, uniting people, and on helping more than just the black community.
Black people worked hard to get the rights that all Americans are supposed to have. The Civil Rights Movement Black people fought these laws from the start. For example, many people refused to use businesses that were unfair to black people. After a little more than a year, bus companies no longer forced black people to sit in the back. To do it, they had to change their rules and serve black people the same way they served white people.
When someone thinks of the civil rights period of the united states they already have some associations or connotations. Many people think of what the times were like, or who was present and fighting for their rights. Rosa Parks and the bus driver or Brown v. Board of Education are among the most popular and most recognizable . These are great people with brilliant ideas and beliefs that changed the United states for the better. The only thing is that they are not as popular as Martin Luther King Jr. .
On January 15, 1929 a very important person was born, even though they didn 't know it at the time. It was Martin Luther King Jr., he had done a lot of great things over his life. Martin is a very important person in our history of civil rights movement. On December 25, 1955 Martin was 26 years old.
The Civil Rights Movement had many leaders and people to impact it. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. impacted it the most, in my opinion. He definitely was the most famous leader of the movement. He did many things to impact the movement, and his words impacted probably the most. Dr. King was a strong and powerful leader, and in the end he helped end the civil rights movement.

Did you know that in 1954 the civil rights movement started. The civil rights movement was supposed to end racism and it did. The reason Martin Luther King Jr wanted to stop racism was so that his children and his children 's children will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the size of their heart. His plan was for blacks to get arrested, but not fight back, to go in peace and come back in harmony. Between 1957 and 1968 he had walked over six million miles and spoke over twenty-five hundred times.
Our society has been subject to different forms of injustice for hundreds of years, such as slavery followed by decades segregation and discrimination. Discrimination is a common thread in the United States throughout the years, and even though slavery has ended, discrimination continues today in many forms. People who have felt discriminated against have responded in many ways from the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s and 1960s to the Black Lives Matter movement of today. Los Angeles in the 1990s was still a place of segregation that led to discrimination and racial tension. The Los Angeles riots (or the Rodney King riots) in 1992, were another painful but eye opening event in the long fight for justice.
The Black Lives Matter movement was created by African Americans whose main goals were to bring about change to urban neighborhoods and America as a while. After the murder of Trayvon Martin in 2012, the movement was created to bring awareness to the rising violence against African American people, especially African American males. Since the acquittal of Martin’s murder, George Zimmerman, there have been many instances of black men being murdered not by armed citizens, but by our protectors in uniform. However, even as times got harder for African Americans, the movement stayed strong over these long years. I support the Black Lives Matter movement because, like the Civil Rights movement, African Americans are trying to bring awareness to
