Herman and Kurt (2009) mentioned in his articles that training leads to important benefits for individuals and teams, organizations and society. He further stated that research has shown that providing employees with appropriate training and development opportunities has a number of benefits. Vinitha Jha (2016) provides some detailed fundamental benefits of training and development below.

Increased productivity:
Training and development is directly proportional to the efficiency and productivity of employees. Well trained employees deliver both quantity and quality performance resulting in less wastage of time, money and resources.

Training develops the required skill sets in employees.

An employee who is trained on minor additional skill in sales, customer service, administration and operations also fosters team spirit, as employees appreciate the challenges faced by co-workers.

This is driven by the great ability they gain to execute their duties.
