The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships between the managers leadership styles and employees job satisfaction. Specifically, this study examines the role of managers on employee satisfaction. Furthermore, employee satisfaction and financial performance have a relationship between each other, which is mediated by customer satisfaction. No work can be done right without examining whether employees are satisfied or not and that surely affects employee performance. Leadership styles vary between employee oriented and task oriented dimensions. Factors that mostly affect the approval of employees are salaries and direction type factors. The working conditions for employees depend on the duration of an employee at work. Employees that spend most of their day at work need an environment in which they feel comfortable and satisfied in order to accomplish tasks. Companies should provide spacious offices or large areas that make an employee not feel under pressure. Other than large office areas, suitable lightening and advanced technology devices that are easy to use are also a factor that will make a work easier. Advanced IT teams are required in every organization in case of devices that may break at any time. This also helps employees not waste their time in trying to fix the device. Moreover, companies should insure that the system is well secured so that hackers can’t hack or delete the system and all the information saved on computers. Opportunity for advancement will empower employees to be creative and improve their work. Companies should motivate and encourage employees to learn new skills to get promoted and reach a high level in advancement. Employees are more optimistic when they are given more everyday jobs and higher compensation. Some companies have their own universities that teach employees to learn new skills and there tuitions are paid by the company. The company offers its employees personal development opportunities like foreign language classes (Google.com, 2009). In an effort to maintain the company’s unique culture, Google has designated a Chief Culture Officer in 2006, who also services as the Director of Human Resources. The purpose of the Chief Culture Officer is to develop and maintain the culture and work on ways to keep true to the core values that the company was founded on in the beginning, a flat startup association with a collaborative environment (Mills, 2007).
A warm welcome for a new employee turns out to have a big impact. According to Bock, a manager greeting a new employee with “Hi, nice to meet you, you are on my team, we are going to work together, and we will be doing a “few other things” which leads to a fifteen percent increase in productivity over the following nine months. Who knew words could have such an eternal impact?
