Organization is a unit of individuals that is managed to achieve goals. When it comes to competency of an organization, everyone would usually evaluate the leader of the organization. The truth is, the success of every organization depends on each individual who works in it. Since organization is a unit of individuals, they work as one to reach their best, and day by day there are improvements. One of the departments that needed within any organization is human resource, it has so many responsibilities. They identify human assets that help the organization to reach its goals, and one of their important tasks is to keep employees motivated and they understand their personalities. Since the employees are motivated, it will keep them energized and they become hard workers. When employees are highly motivated, they produce great results, therefore organization will have more achievements. Motivation can be classified into two types, external and internal motivation. One of the external motivations that make an employee to stay in the organization is salary. However, salary is not enough to get employee's effort out. Theory of Herzberg confirms that salary will not always make employees to be highly motivated, even if they are satisfied with salary's amount. In order to get better efforts from the workers the managers has to create motivation energy in the workplace. Managers should have a clear idea that the two types of motivation are needed for the employees. When it comes to external motivation, for instance, when there are many workers in small office, the workers will feel suffocated so fewer outcomes will be resulted. Whereas having a bigger office with some fresh air, it could give the worker a motivation, so environment is a factor in external motivation. When the same work or task is repeated, the employee would get bored so they will become less motivated to work since they got bored of repeating the same task over and over again. On the other hands, consistent feedback gives the employee to stay motivated because it shows that he/she is doing a good job and they can improve it. Continuous feedback should be always given, and not occasionally. Also, there is tasks' pressure which is a problem in the workplace. When employees have so many tasks to finish them they get pressured and they start to prioritize their tasks. Employees should have knowledge on how to divide their tasks and how to work under pressure. In general, most of employees leave the important task at the end and choose the easy task even if it is less important (Military Leadership, 2015).
The next theory is personality. Personality can be defined as the complex of characteristics and qualities that differentiate the character a person from others (Webster, 2015). An explanation of personality has several theories. One of these is a biological theory which says that person's personality is linked to his/her genetics. Also, when an individual interact with the environment, his/her personality could be developed due to that interaction. It is known as behavior theory.
